Anyone else thinkin' it sounds like a Forestmen revival?

Hmm. I guess it does seem likely as so many of the factions have a weapon or armour made for kids to play with like this one. Maybe a set like the dwarf mine release at the end of 2009 to gain interest for the 2010 line? Someone said castle theme lovers would love late 2009 right?

Reminds me of the old nerf bows and arrows. Loved those things!

I don't know if this really tells us anything. They sell (or at least they sold) toy wolfpack shields at Legoland, with no hint of reviving that theme, so I wouldn't take signals from the "gear" as to what sets will be released.

I don't know Bruce, the Wolfpack was in production at one point though. Why put out a bow if not related to any faction, past, present or future. It would be odd for TLC to put such an item into production if they did not intend to have a faction behind it at some point.

You're right, the Forestmen never existed, the whole theme was a lie from our rich and elaborate childhood fantasy!

AC i take your point........but do you guys really think lego would mass market <not in legoland park but on their website mind you> a bit of gear based on a theme older than most kids looking at said site?

I think this set is hinting at an upcoming release of the Elven Faction

Then can I point out that the current Crown Knights also use bows?

Good point AC, I suppose we are left to ponder on the outcome.

(BTW, I love your MOC's AC, i'm new as a member but have looked at the site for over a year)

I'd guess independent production/design teams work on both these type of products and the sets. Thus, their storylines do not necessarily implicate/impact each other. So I wouldn't consider the bow to be definitive proof of an elf line.

At the same time, I'd not write off an elf line.
