I love it. The family going up the elevator with the little kid holding his mom's hand where you can see the next batch of people in the roller coaster as it starts its initial slow descent...the guy falling out of the roller coaster at the big dip, the detail of the underground oven-thing, that I'm assuming steam-powers the whole thing? The pools of water underground with bits of broken track going underwater ... very cool ... or is that the "wet" part of the ride?

Ah, two of my favorite things! Lego dwarves and roller coasters! Woohoo! I like the track going underwater at the bottom. Very clever.
God bless.

Very nice work!
I hate that you stole my thunder as I've been planning a mine cart scene for ages, but as you did it so well, with such nice details and landscaping, I'll let you off... ; )
God Bless,
Nathan

Lovely scene and fantastic construction. Though just looking at it makes me feel a little queasy.

I originally envisioned it as a converted mine, so the furnace is just a remnant of that, except it's lit, as it looked stupid otherwise. The track going underwater is supposed to be inaccessible, but I'm cool with it either way. Although the passengers will have to hold their breaths
Norro, well, it was waiting to be done

You'll want to get yours done before the IJ Mine comes out - I'm predicting a veritable flood of MOD/MOCs...

Ah I can finally comment on this, now that we're done judging for the contest.
I must say this really is an incredible MOC. It's very well built and full of action, details, and nifty building techniques. Excellent job on... well... everything really!
This scene really makes an outstanding stand-alone MOC, but I must honestly admit that as a contest-entry, I was having trouble seeing the actual "guy doing the job".
But don't think for a second that this didn't end up one of the winners because it's not a grand MOC, the building style of this is awesome, even for your standards. I could even be cheesy and say you've outdone yourself
