I found this on Brother Brick:

I think it is amazing!
I've always thought that RC LEGO would have been a kid-toy but I found this truck really impressive.
Since I am totally ignorant about LEGO RC, which set I should bay to have a basic RC system?

Re: LEGO RC
The truck uses LEGO's new Power Functions system. You're in luck - the power functions system is sold via Shop @ Home ala carte, so you can buy just what you need, and at pretty good prices, too.
The truck uses a battery box, one "medium" Power Functions motor, a Power Functions IR receiver, and a Power Functions IR remote (not seen). He also used an old 9v micromotor, which has been discontinued for some time so they are much more expensive, and also require an adapter wire to go between the PF system and the old legacy 9v system (which I believe LEGO plans to sell or is selling).
There's a great set LEGO is selling that is a "starter kit" for Power Functions - it contains a battery box, a medium motor, a reverser switch, and a set of LED lights. It saves a little money, though you still have to buy the IR receiver and remote separately. The LED's are BRIGHT!.
