The treasure haul of Álonso Cortés

Post by RichardAM »

Forbidden Cove has a contest running at the moment. This is my entry!

Trekking through the intense jungle and overcoming sweltering heat and the dangers of the wildlife, Álonso Cortés and his men come across an ancient temple in the centre of the jungle. Venturing in, Cortés single-handedly survives the temple's numerous traps, defying-death on multiple occasions and escaping with the treasure, like any true-hero.

Heehee. I like this. Sense of movement is good, and I like the torch thingy.

Very nicely done. I especially like the trees.

One thing, though—the lower tan plates in front makes it look as if he's about to run into a stream....

I wouldn't have thought to use Spaniards, but they work well.

Learning French.

Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".
