This is my latest MOC. It is a citadel built on top of a small mountain overlooking a river. It was on display at the LEGO Store at the Mall of America last May. This is my 4th large MOC since emerging from my dark ages. I hope you enjoy it!

Wow! I looked at the photos on flickr and I was very impressed, especially with the gatehouse, the landscape, and the chimney on the back of the keep. I also like the blue section around back and the tiled battlements/wall walk. And it was on display at the Mall of America? That's quite impressive, but it was on display for good reason. My compliments.

Excellent work! In no particular order, I really like the chimney, the shape of the faux-windows, the brick-built portcullis and drawbridge, and the accessible interior.

Definition of citadel (noun)
form: citadels
a stronghold into which people could go for shelter during a battle

It is where all the peasants would go during a battle, and I guess a last resort for those defending the fort/castle.
Hope that answers your question :D

Absolutely stunning. You are quickly becoming one of my favorite castle builders. Your creations are always getting better (though they've always been good) and they have some superbly simple techniques.

There are way too many great things to point out about this MOC so I'll just point out a few. The overall feel of the citadel is very nice. It seems more like a get-away than a fortification, which is nice. The windows are nicely integrated. I love that you put an interior in. Interiors are something that is becoming less and less common in large castle MOCs. Last but certainly not least, the chimney. Absolutely stunning! Just some great work all around.

Build on, mate!

You sir have got a great moc here. Like a lot of others said, the chimney is awesome. The landscaping and the interiors are good. The system you have set up to pull up your drawbridge looks fascinating. I also like how have the water going into the castle, though I would have added some bars or something to keep out invaders. My only complaint is the diamond-ish shamed windows, I'm not a fan of those. But don't get me wrong, you did a great job!

This castle looks so simple, yet is so complicated. And it has good humor (the woman on the marketplace really made me laugh a sec.)
Overall nice argitecture. nice details.
