2009 Best Set

Post by maniac29 »

Since I have made a topic about the best theme in 2009, I have to ask, what is your favorite set in 2009. Mine would definately be Drawbridge Defense and Sqidmans Escape.

I think this may be a bit premature, since a lot of sets aren't available to everyone yet. Or even out yet. How are you counting the firehouse? It looks like a nice set.

I have to say the MMV was awesome but Drawbridge defence is also pretty cool... not sure I can select one over the other.

I thought this was a 2008 set. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, at the moment I do not have a favourite 2009 set because, to my great annoyance, none of the new sets are available in NZ yet.

It was officially a january 2009 set, but was released before Christmas 2008. For the past few years LEGO has always released some january sets in time for christmas sales (like the Dwarven Mine last year).
So yes, it is a 2009 set, but yes, it was released in 2008 ;)

So far (aside from MMV), Agents 2.0 Robo Attack is pretty nice.

Sorry Steve. Yes, you can include the sets which we know will be released and that we have good pictures of.

Well, with sets like Medieval Market Village, Emerald Night, the big carousel, the fire station, it's really a tough choice.
But I'm gonna go for Space Truck Getaway in the Space Police line. Man what a great set! :D

Ah I forgot MMV was a 2009 set. In that case, MMV is my favorite 2009 set! Drawbridge Defense in a close 2nd though.

MMV, with honorable mention to Boulder Blaster. I'm thinking Venice Canal Chase, Ambush in Cairo, and Fire Brigade will also be in the discussion once I get my hands on them.

Overall 2009 has been a really fantastic year, it's going to be tough for LEGO to out-do themselves in 2010. :)

Above all Medieval Market Village 10193.
As a regular set: best for me, until now, is Indiana Jones Cairo Market
