Whew! This one took a little doing to get photographed and edited. I hope that you guys like it, cause otherwise I'll have wasted a lot of time!
"Once discovered, the Fryj'ut Mere was famed to house mysterious powers. A small wooden hut, belonging to a short hermit, is nestled on the brink of the pit. The hermit urged the ruler of Veryluai to help him guard the sacred site. Thus Fryj'ut Castle came into existence, and it has been closely guarded ever since."

Everything here is perfect, the landscaping around the castle is very nice, the castle lacks nothing. Great build!
Also, I can sympathise with your photography plight

Hey Thomas,
I was enjoying this over at Flickr and was hoping you'd already posted it here so I could comment. Very cool. My favorite bit is probably the mere itself. I really like how you've built up the landscaping around so you can have that deep hole with rocky cliffs. The bridge across is also really nice (though one minor quibble - wouldn't it have been easier for them just to make the path go a few feet out of their way and go around rather than over?).
Did you show this at a recent fest? It looks familiar.

Has this been at a convention or expo at all? I'm sure i've seen it before, or at least the pond and bridge?
Anyway, great work- the gentle sloping in front of the castle is really nice, and besides the afore-mentioned pond, I really like the structure detail/decoration. Nice one.

Super awesome stuff!
As others have noted your architectural details are superb.
Those light gray rocks also work much better than I would have expected with a light gray castle.
Great job!

Great job. Nice wooden cottage and I love the terraformed wall on the side. Nice details.

Hehe. The guards look angry because I wanted to use the chain-mail heads, but they are all angry...

Thank you! Yeah, the photography was pretty hard.

Wow, thanks Bruce! Yeah, I had it at BrickFest back in March. As I just pointed out on Flcikr, the bridge is more for viewing purposes than an actual road.

Yeah, BrickFest. Thanks for the comments!

Yeah, I had a similar comments about the light grey rocks on another MOC of mine in the past. It almost makes more sense, like the stone could've been quarried nearby out of similar rock. Thanks!

I had already seen this castle on some brickfest pictures, but it's nice to see some more pictures of it.
I like all the details and i didn't expect that mere at all, cool idea. It is kind of strange that the hermit is still living in a small hut, while there is a whole castle around it

He is after all a hermit, and living in a castle with a huge amount of angry chainmailhood-wearing guards would, well, make him live with a huge amount of angry chainmailhood-wearing guards, and since hes a hermit, he cant do that
Btw, nice to see that these Fry´jut guys does so much to prevent people from destroying the most beautifull parts of the nature

Great job on the landscape and the castle walls, but my favorite part is the tree out front.
