The Battle of Burning Bridge

"Travelling through the mountains had become more dangerous of late, but none of us realised the danger we were in until it was too late..."
I started this build with the bridge, then built up (or down really) each side of the canyon until they each was finished, then joined them together which was a total Megablocks and the most annoying part of the build but I guess that's the way you pay really for starting from the top ;-P Then I tiled the water out and constructed the waterfall. Finally I added vegetation and the actual battle scene, putting the flames and the final touches on the bridge. This build took almost all of my light bley.

Great moc. Really great burning effect on the bridge, and good idea for axes!

Great job. Good ambush feel.
About the 'burning bridge', where you inspired by the book series 'The Rangers Apprentice'? It has a book that's titeled the same.

Great Moc. I love MOC's with lots of action. Even though it's a picture one can see the movement. The landscape has nice details!

Someone asked me that on Eurobricks too, alas no, I am something of a snob when it comes to books and fantasy literature is not really my cup of tea

Those cliffs are awesome.
My hardest problem when it comes to castleing is making rocks.
Is there some forum that's devoted to them?
Awesome MOC T Karrde.

I love the devil heads. It adds a great dimension to an evil army. I too can't wait for those to come out here.

I thought I'd already commented on this. Maybe I dropped in on Flickr(flickr is killing the community forums like that) but I really did mean to comment. This is really neat. I like the smoothness and simplicity of your cliffs, a lot! The minifig action is nice too, I wish I had the patience to do that kind of thing with minifigs.
On a side note: to legokilt.
You only like the devil heads? Or did they distract you from the rest of this MOC?

I couldn't agree more about flickr, it's just such a great medium for photo-sharing though. Classic Castle will never die though!
Yeah, thanks - I'm really happy with how this whole thing turned out
