2010 - Blue baseplates, Atlantis, etc

Post by BreadMan »

New things popping up on brickset that I haven't seen mentioned here. For one, large bodies of water are once again viable!

http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=620-3

In addition there's all the Atlantis stuff, a couple of the new space police (with 1x3 tiles as mentioned in a different thread), town etc. Looks like some cool things can be had from the Atlantis sets - figs, trident, and what looks like a curved version of the spikes that were in some space police and powerminer sets this year: http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=8056-1 Looks like it could be used to make a scythe that's not 5 feet long like the skeleton scythe, not to mention brick built creatures.

And as someone who builds in multiple themes I want as many of the new space police helmets and power miner figs as I can get. :)

Good eye Brendan!!! I will certainly have to put aside some money for blue baseplates!

Those curved blades will make better scythes than the way-to-long ones from the recent Castle line-up.

Blue baseplates! That is something I definitly getting! There have been so many times where I wanted - NEEDED - more blue baseplates, and I never got around to Bricklinking them.

I am also very pleased to see the blue baseplates return. The price is high on Amazon. Hopefully these plates will be in the $5 USD range once they arrive on Shop at Home.

Those spikey leg pieces are certainly sweet. I looked that model over in another picture and didn't notice those new pieces, thanks for pointing them out. :D I am very interested in them!

Nice catch Bread. It will indeed be nice to get the blue plates back. Those curved spikes are interesting. Scythes that aren't 26 feet long, kewl!

I'vve been waiting for this for so long! Do you know when the blue baseplate is coming out? I've always wanted to build big bodies of water.

Glad to hear about blue baseplates. I currently only have three and would like to have more.
