Hey all,

Does anyone know anything about Brickshelf user 3730? They've posted this wonderful Lakeside Castle:

A few months ago they posted an equally great Windmill:

I've searched around the various English language LEGO sites but have no luck figuring out who this is. In addition to just great MOCs with a really clean style, I'm also impressed by the multi-level landscaping and the impeccable photography.

Wow. The color coordination is impressive :o

The Brothers Brick posted the windmill a while ago, I don't know if that makes any difference, but I'd seen this builder's proficiency with the brick and immediately combed both here and Flickr, to no avail.

What an interesting username... :? At least mine is more self-promoting! :D :roflol:

Over and out,

These works look similar to Takeshi Itou's creations. I wonder if they are inspired by him?

I was wondering the same thing. The "feel" is very much like Takeshi Itou's works, but the pics lack the sunset background in TI's pics (not to mention that 3730 includes the "charcoal" rendering in his brickshelf folder).

I love seeing works that leave studs exposed. It looks more "Lego-y." Don't get me wrong, I love the newer "smoother" building techniques out there, but the studsy construction just does something for me!

It's really beatiful. Colours and landscaping are amazing. Lots of inspiration because the buildings are small but detailed in a very armonious way.
The mixed grays (dark and builsh dark and light and bluish light) gives a very nice effect

I feel the same about the studs. New techniques are great but it's the old fashion builds that I love to look at! They are heartwarming.

That is indeed beautiful. He did a great job with the cliff side. This MOC very much continues to amaze me. Bravo, I want an encore.
