Woody's legs would also make nice circus clown legs, or stilt walkers. I am so glad they did not Jack Stone this series.

I wonder how long it'll take after these sets are properly available before I am totally fed up with military creations using the military men torsos and helmets.
And when I say how long, I mean how many weeks.
My guess is two and a half.

ooh, i want to make turtles out of the helmets
the setts look really good!
but i think it would be nicer if woody and (the girl) were standard minifig size...
otherwise is seems like a must buy!

Gosh, you're patient...

Not sure I'll last that long.
I'll look forward to seeing sirJacob's turtles, though, and all the other cool ideas imaginative people are bound to come up with. For myself I don't think I can have too many green parts, and the army men torsos will be usable in civilian figs. So, on the whole, yay!

Hey,
I stopped by Toys R Us and got the army men set for $12.99US. No idea what I'll do with them, but it's too fun a set to pass up. For now they'll live on my desk at work.

ARMY MEN!

Seriously, Toy Story is one of my family's favorites. Surely the best Pixar. UGH! I hate the Woody and Buzz figs!

Absolutely hidious! Man, Those are the worst minifigs in history! Woody's Round-up doesn't look too bad though!

I might have to get it. Thanks, Athos!

I found the army men, woodys roundup, the go kart, buzz's space ship, and build a buzz at target in cleveland oh today. Picked up the army men for 10.99 and the go kart for 20.99. the kart is small but a lot of fun, it has a motor so when you pull it backwards it drives itself about 20 feet. Im looking forward to the rest of these except for the large buzz and emperor zurg.

The build-a-buzz set is actually the only one i'm looking forward to. The minifig sets don't seem right, and as I keep mentioning, I think the figs themselves have little use for being anything other than the character they're meant to portray.
The Western set seems interesting, but only because it's a shout-out to the original theme and certainly seems to contain the most bricks.

Don't give up on 7592 Buzz Lightyear..... he's got white 1 x 3 tiles... 8 of them. Where is the "heart" "love" emoticon please? If I could afford it (saving for IF), I'd buy an army of those aliens.
I really like the green army men and the cute bases they stand on. Seems they can make for some very pretty landscape pieces.

I bought the Build-a-Buzz. He's pretty darn fun. But I'll be really honest...I wanted a Toy Story set, and I wanted one of the aliens, and this was available.
I enjoyed the build. I think the design's pretty darn good. He's quite solid.

Honestly, a LEGO Toy Story theme has to be the most ridiculous idea TLG has come out yet. I personally deteste Toy Story, but even if you do not -- don't you find the idea of representing TOYS (and from a movie, at that!) by another (clearly superior, though) TOY... silly, to say the least?
The only good stuff I can see in it are the army men, and maybe the big legs and arms (as you could use them for making giant people, or just very tall people).

I think its a bad idea for a line too. Though the army men are kind of nice.

I want an alien too, but $25 is too much for an alien. The rest of the parts don't seem much good for me.

Actually I find it hilarious. The recursive meta-jokes of a toy within a toy is clever and can be used to express some serious thoughts about the nature of toys, play and our cultures obsession with nostalgia, corporate branding and modern omnipresent branding.
BTW I loved the original movie and think the new figures are awesome. It is like they leapt right off the screen
