Favorite Top 3 Lego Castle Sets You Own
I've been collecting Castle since the begining of Knight's Kingdom II, and I thought this would be a fun thing to do. I thought it would be cool to learn people's favorite sets, so here's mine: (And they have to be ones you own )
1. 10193 Medieval Market Village - Now this is probably one that will defiantly be on a lot of these lists, but this set mainly got me back into Lego (Kinda like what got me addicted). I wanted this set really bad for my birthday. My parents couldn't find it anywhere, so I didn't get it, but I got a lot of awesome sets too (I'm not ungrateful ). But, I actually bought this set using the money from my uncle that he gave me for that same b-day. I ordered it from S@H in late March when it was still on backorder. It surprisingly started to ship in less than a week of waiting. Then a week later when I came home from school, there was my glorious 10193 ! It took me about 5 hours too build total.
Anyway, it has great architecture, must have figs, cool accessories, even cooler market stand, and amazing brown cows! My favorite set of all time.
2. 7079 Drawbridge Defense - This one actually almost beat 10193, but it didn't because it has a couple flaws, but overall, it's one of my faves. I got this set for this past Christmas. I like to space out when I open my sets so I can enjoy each one, so I actually didn't open it 'till the 27th when a friend was over (and he built it with me). It took about 30-ish minutes to build.
This set is really cool! The highlight is defiantly the (again I say,) must have figs, but the design on the drawbridge is very nicely done. The drawbridge effect is great too. Flaws: Design in the inside/back of it is really lacking and if the chains of the drawbridge come off, they're really hard to put back on.
3. Ok now I may get yelled at a bit for this one, but my final pick is8799 - Knights' Castle Wall . I got this set from my Grandma a couple Christmases back. I don't remember much about it except for the fun I had with it. My brother got the matching set to go along with it, 8800 - Vladek's Siege Engine, and we had a blast.
The colorful minifigs have been great for other minifigs now down the road, and the castle pieces have been a great resource for microscale (Don't worry, I have it still in tact...kinda). The dumping rocks feature was nice as well (at the time I guess). The only thing it's missing is...Danju! Oh well...
Let me hear yours!

Re: Favorite Top 3 Lego Castle Sets You Own
to me it would be:
1# 6086 Black Knight's Castle. Because it's a set full of awesome things. Like a gatehouse with a drawbridge and a portcullis, a neat escape route out back, a very nice dungeon to hide loot and prisoners in, high castle walls almost all around the castle and a Lots of figs.
2# 6085 Black Monarch's Castle. Since it too has a gatehouse with a drawbridge and a portcullis, High walls all around the castle, Lots of figs and a nice number of good parts.
3# 6098 King Leo's Castle. Hey It was my first ever castle! And i also got alot of other sets from the KKI line so me and my brother had an extremely huge blast with it. We used to play hard with it for hours on end.

1. 10193 MMV - Just a great set. Wish Lego would make more like this.
2. 6086 Black Knight's Castle - Pretty much the perfect castle (all the details you could want for a castle playset).
3. 2872 Witch's Fireplace - Can't explain it, but I love this quirky little set.

Re: Favorite Top 3 Lego Castle Sets You Own
It's hard to pick any beyond the Kings Castle (http://brickset.com/detail/?set=6080-1). Its the first castle set I remember getting.
The Forestmen's Crossing (http://brickset.com/detail/?set=6071-1) is also nice, since I worked all summer stacking firewood to buy it.
MMV was a very nice set, but since its so new, its hard for me to have the emotional attachment to it. But it is still a very nice set.

Re: Favorite Top 3 Lego Castle Sets You Own
The first one is easy...
6054-1: Forestmen's Hideout
I've always been fascinated with hollow trees and Robin and his merry men. This is my favorite castle set from childhood.
After that it gets harder to pick...
6038 Wolfpack Renegades
Probably my second favorite set from childhood. The Wolfpack were so cool! Unfortunately I didn't have their Tower hideout back then, but I sure do now.
7036 Dwarves' Mine
It's a mine. Possibly the neatest set ever.

My favorite sets are:
1. 6075 Yellow Castle
2. 6083 Knights' Tournament
3. 6077 Knights' Procession
It shouldn't be too hard to guess my age!

1. 6054: Forestmen's Hideout
2. 10193: Medieval Market Village
3. 6066: Camouflaged Outpost
(but it's hard to really make the choises beyond nr1 (beutifull set, one of my first): Some runner ups for place 2-3: 6035 Castle Guard, 6077 Forestmen's River Fortress, 6038 Wolfpack Renegades, 6075 Wolfpack Tower, 677 Knights' Procession)

Re: Favorite Top 3 Lego Castle Sets You Own
1) 383 Knight's Tournament
2) 6010 Supply Wagon
3) 6040 Blacksmith Shop.
Highly subjective and nostalgia-tinged, of course. MMV is a wonderful set in all kinds of ways, but these three have been favourites for so long I can't bring myself to displace any of them... I don't have 6041 Armour Shop or 6067 Guarded Inn (curses) or they would probably make the list. I actually prefer those little modular sets to the 6080 King's Castle.

My favorites, purely emotional:
1. 6081 King's Mountain Fortress
2. 10193 Medieval Market Village
3. 3739 Blacksmith Shop
Runner up sets-->
4. 6048 Majisto's Magical Workshop
5. 7979 Castle Advent Calender
6. 6079 Dark Forest Fortress
I like sets that compliment a snapshot of life for my little kingdom and each one of these sets produced a highly excited urge to build, rebuild, add and populate my Castle world. A variety of character types, community people or trades-persons, enhance the legions of troops greatly.
