Hello
I'd like to show You my latest creation - a village diorama featuring two expanded buildings from the 10193 set.
Medieval Market Village Diorama
Diorama shows a medieval village during a trade day.
Around the market following buildings can be found: blacksmith's shop, Bakery, church, town hall, inn and warehouse. The village is place near a forest, over a river that enters a lake.
It has a modular construction. The whole building process took half a year.
Four of the modules were made for the Colossal Castle Contest VII and are shown or separate pages.

You have done an excellent job of conveying the bustling market atmosphere. The variety in the buildings is splendid, and I applaud your reimagining of the official MMV houses. Your parts usage for the bride's wedding veil is also very creative. Well done, sir!

Hey Piglet,
This is really a wonderful display. I saw it this morning on Flickr and it was really difficult to keep myself from running over here and posting it before you got the chance. I'm still going through and trying to take in all the details. Just to point out two little details that I think are really nice - the use of log bricks to make a
plowed field (also a nice plow design there) and the
three-plates-deep cobblestone work are both great examples of adding texture to the ground you start on. The buildings and minifig life just get better and better starting from that base.

There are a lot of things I really like about this. First, the buildings are really great, and their placement really makes a huge difference. You really get the sense that the village started out pretty small, and grew, with buildings popping up along the street as needed. I like how the buildings all have similar style, but yet you added enough color and details to make each one stand out by itself.
I loved all the mini-fig action, I think the circus/street performers were my favorite. It really has the bustling street scene feeling to it, and there is a TON to look at and try to imagine what's going on. I also got a kick out of the guy climbing a rope from the tower, not sure what he's up to, but I thought it was pretty funny.

Wow, it's huge! Nice idea to recycle some of your CCC creations into a larger diorama. Excellent.

This module was an entry for the Knight Training Category in the CCCVII:

I started bulding for the CCC with that idea on my mind, so they were already prepared for joining future modules.
Thank you all for the comments : o)

Piglet strikes again :p
Great moc. The crowded medieval streets look really nice, and as nanduck pointed out, the many entertainers are a great touch.
Do I see a new Kingdoms torso?

I love this MOC, I am only sorry I did not see it sooner. Most excellent example of the "simple" medieval village. Great details. I really like how you used the MMP set in the diorama as well as your own material.

I'm not sure how I missed this one either. Really nicely done Piglet. This is such a terrific example of why the MMV is such a great set; it fits in very well with our MOCs and it doesn't really take much to expand one of those houses and make it look completely different. The way all the buildings are all packed in together is very pleasing to my eye and the minifig placement brings such life to it that I feel like I could shrink down and explore this from ground level.
