Collectible Minifigures Series Two

Post by twevans »

Is there an official release date set for series 2?

Also figured I'd point out that ThinkGeek has series 1 for sale (Link) but sadly their selling them for twice the retail price.

Out of curiosity, for those that ordered series 1 figs from shop@home, what was the limit to how many you could order at one time?

I didn't order any from S@H, but the limit was 5 per customer.

Well, looks like I'll be looking through BrickLink in order to get a Forestman figure.

But luckily, Series 2 is soon up for grabs, which is great news for me. :)

Someone from Canada stated that the Series 2 figs may be hitting Toys R Us store shelves by Tuesday next week.

Woah.

Looks like I'll have to be on the look-out. I don't exactly live in Canada, but if it's coming overseas, it might as well be on the East Coast.

Looks like some lucky European dude has already started his spartan collection:

Geeez, I'll be happy if I just get 15 or 20.

I wonder if there will be any left for us. :twitch:

That being said, this is only making me want these Apartans even more.

If the guy with the 60 or so in the brickshelf photo lives Near Legoland Billund once you ID which barcode has the Spartan I'd imagine that it wouldn't be that hard to snag a large quantity in short order, especially if you have a friend or two along to bypass any purchase limits.

What makes me go grr, is that I never even had a chance to see one of the Series 1 packages in a store.
Build? I merely Acquire atm.

I spotted some series 1 minifig packs in a small toy store last weekend. I was surprised to see them still there until I saw the price tag!! $9.99 CDN (approx $9.50 USD) :twitch: No wonder they are still there, but it wasn't a full box so some people must have bought a few. If anyone is interested it was in the Square One mall in Mississauga, Ontario at the small toy store (I forget the name) on the lower level near the Bay store
