Review: 2010 Kingdoms advent calendar

I managed to pick up an advent calendar today. I have taken pics of the items I was most interested in but I can take pics of other models if someone wants.
Some other things to note: The minifigs are not the notorious "China" figs; there don't seem to be any poor quality isses with them.
The Lion Knight has white torso printing with nary a sign of pink to be found.
Well, this is less of a review than it is just a presentation. I won't review, I'll let you formulate your own opinions.

I was looking for some 2x2 round plates in dkbrown, but it seems that TLC feel happy with the redbrown one to close dark barrels. It is quite odd.

I had never seen a Queen wig before and it feels like Harry Potter's hair at first sight.

The box is filled with a nice mfs number and parts selection (unlike in the past Pirates' one), also, there seem o be so much extra parts, and some very welcome, such as the prince's hair, or a bunch of swords.

The blue wizard is revamped, some will love, few will hate. And this time, we have the sword in the rock and the prince, all in the same box. Like if we were back to Arthur's background, we can think farther and expect forestmens to be back. I personally don't think TLC have casted a robin hood's hat mold only to release the quite short run of collectible figs.

The background in the box top picture let us hope for civilians medieval houses to come. I wish they will do.

I left Edmonton quite early this morning to visit the Calgary LEGO store, and when I came in around 11:00 and saw this beauty, I picked it up off the shelf immediately. The parts are all exquisite and the for $39.99 CAD I felt that my money was well spent. I hope to find at least one more to use asa Christmas gift. The one thing odd about the set was opening an advent calendar in mid-August  .

Thank you for the detailed review of this year's castle themed advent calendar. The queen figure is especially nice.

It will be in the US. We Canadians miss out on the same stuff y'all do. If we get it, you'll get it.

Still debating on whether or not to get multiples of this set. May just try to trade for another queen and wizard or hope they go on sale after Christmas.

They are officially in the US, just got one at the Arizona Lego Store, they were flying off the shelves, two people bought them while I was there. So check your local Lego Store. Haven't opened it yet, but like Old Republic posted, that Queen fig is worth it.

Hi fellows! Please take any further minifig talk over to the Collectible minifig-series two thread. Feel free to continue to discuss the Advent calendar here though. Thanks.

PS, in case Sid and Thor are wondering, their posts went to that thread.

Hi Thor (and everyone else), the next time you feel the need to explain yourself or your posts, please take it straight to PM instead of further going off topic. Now this is gone off topic for the second time.
