Hi,
Here I am.
Me and my husband are the builder of this moc.
The castle isn't a real one, but only a scheme of my imagination (based on a classic square design's castle).
The name Bolak is a long story...
I like very much the fantasy era minifigs with blu clothes so I decided to create the kingdom of a blu king. When we had to choose a name for this moc the title: "Blu King Castle" was not as smart as we wanted.
After some researches we find this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolak_(Blue_Language)
The name of the language means both `blue language' and `ingenious creation' in the language itself and we thought it was an amazing combination for a moc and that's the story.

Hi Claudia,
Welcome to CC. Wow, that's amazing for a first MOC. I especially like the work you did with rock and water (including that great waterfall).
I also really like the little bit of tan, dark tan, and dark gray in the castle walls - just enough to get some variation, but not too much.
The cheese wedges along the ramparts are great, as is that gallery of arches overlooking the inner courtyard.
I also really like the mix of browns in that roof inside the courtyard.
It looks like this was recently displayed at an ITLUG event?

Hello, and welcome! I'm proud to have discovered a such beautiful and wonderful creation!
Congratulations!

Yes, this moc setting was shown at the ItLUG event in Cavallino (VE) at the beginning of June.
The same castle with some changes in the rear to show the inner rooms and with a entirely different setting of the life in the front of the castle, was displayed at the ItLUG event in Lecco (LC) 16-17 July. (

Thank you very much for you appreciation.

There is so much detail to be seen in this. Truly remarkable. I especially liked the waterfall and the Birch tree - I never actually thought of attempting various tree species before, will do so now! The water around the castle is wonderful, but I found it strange at first how the entire castle and its bit of land across the bridge is an island... doesn't seem entirely practical/realistic... Anyways, very nice!

Yes, maybe you're right, but if you think at the principle that the more the castle is built in a defensible place the better is, even a semi-island (the castle in the rear should have a rock face but I haven't had time to complete it) could be realistic, certainly not practical.

Yeah I'm loving the removable fireplace/hearth. Removable elements like that must give it a great sense of playability.
