Interest in the "Lands of Classic Castle" Group Project!

Post by AK_Brickster »

I am officially closing this thread. Feel free to read through it, but new posts should be directed to either the INFO/FAQ or LCC Discussion threads. Thank you!

Welcome to the Interest in the Lands of Classic Castle poll thread!

Please Reply to this poll if you are interested in participating in the "Lands of Classic Castle" MOC-based fantasy world we are currently working on.
Thread to this topic can be found HERE

Right now, we have 4 regions set up that you'll be able to choose for your character to "inhabit". You'll team with others under a common banner to build up your region's status within the realm, as well as your own individual status, through frequent building challenges and contests. There will also be exclusive guilds that you can join by completing a set of qualifying tasks.

If you want to participate, in the comments, please post so we know who you are, and also indicate which faction you're most interested in, so we can get an estimate of what the initial regional populations will be. An official sign-up thread will be posted here in the "Stories" section sometime next week.

The regions are:

Garheim (Blue): Snow/Mountains - Somewhat of a "Nordic" influence
Lenfald (Green): Forests/Foothills - More traditional central European feel
Loreos (Red): Grasslands/Desert - Cavalry-based society, with both European and Middle Eastern flavors
Outlaws (Black): Marsh/Dark Woods - All forms of Dark Knights, Rebels, Bandits, Magical Creatures live here, but many small encampments are also scattered around the other 3 regions.

The above are just general guidelines for each region. Participants will have the freedom to build as they like, as long as they can provide a story that goes along with it.

Thanks for your interest!

I'm in for this. I'm not sure if polls can be edited, but if they can, this thread could be used for later decisions, too. It should, of course, be located in the Stories forum. But the problem is that that one gets far less visits than f.ex. the MOCs forum. Therefore, if it's all right with the authorities, I hope we can keep this discussion here at least until we have a decent amount of participators.
EDIT: about the climate, I'm not decided yet. But I'm thinking along clusters of rather minor islands and/or foresty/swampy areas.

It looks like most interest right now is going for cliffs and woodland.

Yep, cliffs and woodlands sounds good. But possibly swamps, barren lands, snowy north, and plains too? :)

Oh, and I'm very in!! And interested! :)

I've been lurking in the other thread about this and I'll probably participate in a grassland, forest or mountainous-based faction.

I'm very interested. It could get me building more often, though I must remind myself the words of the preacher: it is better not to promise than promising and not pay. But I know me a bit: I work better with a deadline than without.

When I saw the settings I was convinced everybody would go for 'mystic isles'. No one did. Well, I certainly do. Of course, such an isle could inhabit the occasional mountain or good old forest. ;-)

I am in! I would be interested in a more eastern/desert setting or mountain/snowy area.
