I thought you did'nt have to use one? Or was that just crests?wobnam wrote:Yes, the roman torso can be used by all factions. You don't HAVE to put red legs and arms on your figs, but making them red in some way is a good idea for Loreos. Also remember to display the Loreesi banner.

Re: LCC General Information and FAQ
Is there a uniform standard/banner design for each faction, aside from colour I mean?

Re: LCC General Information and FAQ
The ones in the pictures that are linked from the top post of this thread under Building -> Banners will probably be pretty standard.

Re: LCC General Information and FAQ
I believe this picture was linked in the first post:
Keep in mind, however, that these are just two suggestions. As I was making these, I literally thought of dozens of ways to do the horizontal version. Whatever suits your troops best is what you should use

Re: LCC General Information and FAQ
One thing I would like to say is: I think there is scope for creating a custom army within the rules given. I'd like to see a lot of variety in the armies of each province, rather than an army of clones!

Re: LCC General Information and FAQ
Absolutely! It's wide open to each person's taste. So, if you like having a rag-tag bunch with mixed weapons and armor, go ahead! If you like having a very organized army with platoons of identically armed/armored troops, go ahead!
Re: LCC General Information and FAQ
A very good example of a troop of soldiers is this one by ShareburG - Albatross Viking is his name here I believe.
What I like about this army is that there is no real uniform. I count four types of spears and shields, even more types and colours of helmets, some men have green sleeves, other sand green or black, some have brown trousers, others gray. And yet it is a coherent group, under a green banner. Now that's the art (of war). Unity in diversity.

I agree, and I, too, like the possibility of greater variation among the troops!Cuahchic wrote:One thing I would like to say is: I think there is scope for creating a custom army within the rules given. I'd like to see a lot of variety in the armies of each province, rather than an army of clones!

Question: I am part ofn Garheim, my fortress is blue, my men are blue but my king and his guards are in red as it is the royal colour - is that a problem?

Re: LCC General Information and FAQ
it would probably be best if they were blue as well, but as long as they display the faction banner I think it will be finerichardanthonyc wrote:Question: I am part ofn Garheim, my fortress is blue, my men are blue but my king and his guards are in red as it is the royal colour - is that a problem?

Re: LCC General Information and FAQ
First of all, Garheim is not a kingdom, but a province. The King rules all of Roawia and does not belong in any of the factions. What the ruler of Garheim (or the other factions) should be called hasn't been decided yet, but I doubt it will be king as this would be a bit confusing. Nor has it been decided what this rules looks like and who (if any) will control him - so for now, at least, I recommend keeping these characters out of your creations and focusing on your own character.
So, to answer the other part of your question: Can a Garheim character be red? I think that in the end, this is up to you - but consider this: If you are a high-ranking person in a faction whose color is blue, would you wear red, the color of your enemy?
