Alchemy Laboratory settled in Ivory Tower..
This moc was to be one of the 3 mocs I was making for Classic castle contest, Hero category. It would be the place where hero gets info about her quest. At one point I decided not to participate in contest because moc grew rapidly while end date for participating in contest come nearer and just didn't have enough time. After contest ended I simply wasn't under date pressure so I put mocking aside for a while. Fortunately I made some w.i.p. photos with mobile phone to show them to some friends. Unfortunately I took just a few moments for every photo (people were waiting on Skype), so photos are really bad...who could tell it would be crashed to pieces before it was finished... So, this one goes to sorting bin. As alchemy tables remained whole I decided to remake this moc, but this time on smaller scale (32x32).. I just hope it will be finished until summer :/. I also have 3 more unfinished mocs which I started to build after I registered here (another two scenes for Hero category and long forgotten micro scale moc (currently 48x48 of planned 48x96) which waits sadly to be finished), but I'm not sure if it is smart to put them online while I read somewhere that sometimes people get annoyed by spamming with w.i.p. pictures and no finished mocs..
Anyhow, it is something more than a year that I returned from dark ages and I wish my free time grew as my collection grew over past year. Thanks for your time, guys, I just thought I have to explain myself to somebody :3

Thats a real pity. I know the feeling of having parts of my work collapse, and its not a great feeling.

The texturing and designs using the studs was quite a brilliant idea. Very well done. (so sorry it fell apart though!

What a beautiful piece of art... Would have loved to have seen it as part of a large courtyard in an abandoned city scenario!

Oh man! That's very unfortunate! The build looks amazing... I love all the white and the texturing. It's so beautiful! Now I want to go and make something like that. I love the white color, too.
I remember the conversation after the CCC about how not to ask when the competition would be judged, and someone said that every time someone asked about it, an exquisite MOC would fall off a table. It was a funny thought, but the reality is so disheartening. I do hope you try again.
(Edited to fix errors)

*raises hand* Yeah sorry, that was me. If it's any condolence, I'm now a "gong farmer overseer" as punishment for my half-witted attempt at brevity.
On a more serious note, I'm really glad that you had some pictures of this before it's untimely demise. It certainly is beautiful, and I'm already racking my brain as to how I can incorporate some of these techniques into my future castle builds. Thanks for sharing!

looking at this again on the train home from work, it has inspired me to go home and try to build a similar creation (though i will fail epically)

My jaw literally dropped when I look at the images; believe it or not that doesn't happen often.

Thanx for support, everybody! Reconstruction is on it's way, but as I said, a little bit smaller than original. :3

Maybe you could leave some parts unrepaired/destroyed and incorporate that into the MOC.. since it's an alchemy lab, it could have blown up during some experiment...
I know it's supposed to be an Ivory Tower, but maybe incorporating some different colour (light tan?!) for some highlights might make it easier to see all the magnificent details of your facade
