LCC - Throne Room

Post by AK_Brickster »

As many of you are aware, over in the Stories forum, we have a project going on called the "Lands of Classic Castle", which is a collaborative, MOC-based fantasy project.

We are holding our first Global Challenge, where all 4 factions compete against each other for Status Points by getting as many of their members to participate as possible.

To help illustrate the challenge's origin, I built a throne room for the king, and set a scene showing him distributing gold to representatives from the three law-abiding factions (The outlaws were not invited to the throne room, not surprisingly). The gold being presented is to pay for food and drink for a grand celebration that will take place all across the land! Don't count out the Outlaws though, as they're sure to try to get their hands on some of the supply wagons!

Comments and Criticisms on the MOC are welcome :)

The faction leaders don't seem to be very happy with the money, ey? They look like they have paid it to the king, instead of received from the king
But I like the throne room much and the king's sign is very nice! It must be quite a spectacular effect when the light is coming through the sign into the room, doesn't it?

I call upon all Garhimi to revolt and choose another leader by the way, our current one looks like he is possessed by some evil outlaw wizard guy

This looks great! The stained glass window is very well done! :D I also like the guards of to the side.

The faces of the representatives are very good IMO. They appear to convey the general feeling of unrest in Roawia. :)

I think a 'boy, these helmets are heavy' caption would explain the representatives' facial expressions  Love this MOC, from the figs to the architecture, it's really inspiring for the challenge to come.

Wow, very good throne room! I saw this picture earlier but didn't imagine it was related to the first global challenge.
Very good creation! :)

This Global Challenge is quite interesting in that it almost "forgets" the Outlaws (though we do indeed have our own branch of the challenge) but we are not really part of the main feel of it. It seems to be the 3 major factions stacked on one side against the Outlaws (which I am quite fine with, once we get rolling we'll be fine!).

Anyhow, excellent job on that window! :)
