Royal Feast in Hunter's Hall

Lord Val Karem has invited friends, brothers in arms and 'friends' from Loreos to Hunter's Hall for a feast...

very awesome entry for GC1, a very nice looking hall. those roof supports are well done, also I like the back wall behind the throne. Great creation mitah.
Btw I thought you already made a GC feast moc, what happened to it?

Great job on the woodwork! All the decorations on the walls look superb. Nice feast scene as well.
Keep up the good work :D

I actually prefer this one to your first entry. It really feels like a Lenfel banquet hall :)

So I guess it was a blessing in disguise that someone felt horribly offended by my first MOC... Also I originally wanted to make the feast in the hall, but I thought I wouldn't have enough time... now with my extended holiday I gave it another shot, and I also think this one is better... I was hoping to build the complete hall with roof and tower/side-chambers, but I ran out of space on my baseplate and didn't want to expand it any further, because it wouldn't fit in the photobox.

But I guess I'll be using that as my apprentice project for the Masons Guild

I don't think it's so much that any particular person was "horribly offended" that your first entry was pulled. It was simply a matter of following the TOS that every one of us agrees to follow in exchange for the privilege of being able to use this site. I wouldn't be too upset about it or bother complaining about it. Just a good lesson learned for next time :)

I really like the pillars and rafters, and also the bits of brown against the gray wall. Also the choice of different dark green color accents with the flags and shields works really well here. My one critique is that it's a little too brown - perhaps if that back wall were gray stone rather than brown log bricks you'd get a better color balance.

I wanted to contrast the brown with some dark-brown... but I didn't have enough dark-brown logs... you are right, especially in the pictures the contrast seems to suffer from the limitations of photography. I intend to rebuild the hall with the exterior and tower in the future, so I'll write down your idea and incorporate it into the next MOC

Brilliant work on the rafters. It seems off-center though with them just on one side.

I like it but it looks too dark and evil.

I would say it's just more on the 'down to earth, realistic' side of things.

Overall, it's a pretty sweet MOC. :)
