As Scott settled back into his cozy home, something peculiar caught his eye. Tossing his hat and staff on his bed, he picked up the piece of white paper that was lying on his table. He didn't recall leaving anything besides the potion recipe on the table, and he certainly didn't put this particular item there just now. It was sealed with a dab of plain red wax, and, upon opening it, appeared to be a letter. It read:
“Dear Scott,
Hello! You don't know who I am (yet) but I know who you are, and I am in desperate need of a person of your talents. I realize you must be very tired and weary after such a long time away from home, but if you would, please arrive in the village of Angten prior to the arrival of autumn. There, you will learn more of what I ask of you.
Sincerely…”
There was no name signed. A crude drawing of a hound on a patch of roses was in its place. Intrigued, but altogether too tired to make a decision now, Scott slid the letter under the recipe. He cleared off his bed, blew out the candle, and drifted away into sleep.

A quick build from me, setting the scene for the next series of adventures. :) C&C welcome.

A lot of times our characters can be swept out into a great mission or story line with no connecting pieces or chapters. It's refreshing to read a nice story that presumably sets up a much larger series of builds :)

Very cool story, I wonder what he needs help with. . . He seems kinda creepy to me. :P Very nice MOC as well, it's a bit cluttered IMHO but I think it works well. :)
