Letholdus Cottage: GoH
Letholdus Cottage: GoH
Hey all,
Here is the first backstory build for my character in GoH. This whole creation is dedicated to Luke Watkins, and his amazing techniques! Thank you so much for sharing them!
Story:
As Feren grew older, he felt the need for adventure. Time and time again he left for long periods of time on search for adventure, or on mission for his father, the Earl of Ancroft. Finally, his father gave him the biggest mission of them all.....take back the island of Marrock. Ever since the Earl had heard of some outlaws landing and populating the small island, his small island, he was itching to send some men to take Marrock back. Now he had the chance. He gave Feren a small detachment of troops, his chief archer Robin (also Feren's friend) to train more troops, and let him ask his friends. Feren excitedly wrote a letter to 2 of his best friends, Edvin and Lydia, who immediately replied in the positive. They arranged to meet at Lydia's cottage, Letholdus Cottage. When, Feren and his men were nearing the meeting place, his fine-tuned ear picked up the sounds of metal on metal. He and Robin rode ahead, with the 2 steeds for Feren's friends. When they arrived, they found Edvin and Lydia dueling....
Enjoy!
Soli Deo Gloria!

Fantastic job on the details Matt! Love the stonework and architecture.
And sorry to be the one to tell you, but remember the four picture limit on posts. You'll have to trim down a little...

I really like the cottage, it definitely shows great technique. I also like the green/dark green grass mix and the un-evenness of it. It reminds me of grass seen at higher altitudes( 7,000 above sea level and higher). The well has nice cool trans dark blue water, mmm, tasty! Nice Job.

Nice build Matthew. Lots of good techniques here. You've improved drastically! I think the balcony would look better if you replaced the two dark brown telescopes with the other black antennas. This is just my personal critique (I remember you stating you wanted honest critique!). I personally think the balcony rail looks good, but would look better if those two pieces were replaced

Re: Letholdus Cottage: GoH
I'm always impressed by your building speed. You build a ton for LCC, for GoH, at the same time you compete in the MO
And also, that your buildings aren't just cheap quickies, they also have a good quality! Great job and brick on .
