Boat Stud in Orange, Please!

Granted, my interest is highly specific. I like filling my fall/Halloween MOCs with pumpkins of varying sizes, and I've found the best way to do a big one is with a 2 x 2 round brick with a dome top, plus a boat stud and maybe one or two 2 x 2 round plates, all in orange. (Then top it off with a lime green or dark tan "horn" for the stem.)

Except the boat stud doesn't come in orange, only in trans-orange. I've been using those because they're better than nothing, but it looks odd to say the least. I'd never buy a real pumpkin that looked like that, because it would clearly be infested with some kind of jellifying fungus.

Do you have a link to pictures of your builds?

Here's a pretty clear example of what I'm talking about.

I don't usually post links here because I never seem to come up with a Castle-related MOC.

You could connect the two domes together with a technic pin.

I find that makes the pumpkin too spherical. It doesn't stand up on its own and it doesn't really look pumpkin-shaped. I play around with various small pieces that come in orange to get different looks, but I'd still really like that boat stud...

Thanks, I agree with you on conexting 2 domes. There could be some other uses for that stud in orange too depending what your doing :)
