Castle Summer

This was a very long, drawn out build because of a lot of things going on plus what I would call a year-plus "very dim age." My largest build to date. I'd be interested in any comments you guys have.

Great job, I like the stain glass window too, I do think the terrain could use more foliage though  . Still cool castle!

I really like the style here, it's got a variety of different towers/etc and gives a realistic feel due to the size and sturdiness. Makes me want to build a big grey castle like this ! However, I'd probably prefer some vegetation/landscaping on the outside and maybe some pathways etc on the inside. The raised cross section landscape is a great start.

Nice castle with an interesting layout. The absence of vegetation does not bother me. Lots of flowers etc. Often distracts from the drab and fussy building. The castle reminds me of plaster models of castles that are seen in actual historical buildings. Goody.

Very realistic looking castle, looks very sturdy. I rather like the minimalistic landscape around it, though some patches of flowers, or a small sapling, would make it more interesting to look at :)

I absolutely love this! The sheer size makes it look very imposing, and the overall sleek texturing looks very nice, imo. :)

I really love the sloping ground. Also a great use of texture to break up the big grayness of the walls but without going too crazy, and then the woodwork is a nice color contrast. Lack of foliage close to the walls is appropriate, as defenders of the castle would cuts stuff down so that there would be clear lines of sight/arrowshot. I'd like to see this dressed up a little, with more figs on the ramparts, maybe a cart coming into the gate or something - maybe extend the landscape by 16 or 32 studs in the front of the castle so you can extend that road out to accomodate some traffic.

If this is the result of a dim age, maybe all of us should go into a dim age. :)
