Is finally ready to be shown. It took like three months for it to make it to the happy place that it finally reached. It was displayed three times and it will be demolished starting tomorrow.
Enjoy!

And yes...I do build. Just not as often as I would like...because job, ambassador stuff, lug, family, and exhaustion.

Great to see this finally revealed! The very clean walls fit well for the Middle Eastern look, especially with all the windows. Speaking of which, I really like how you framed the windows in an accent color on the white and dark orange buildings. Lovely brick-built awnings over the guard towers too. Looks like you have some very well stocked market stalls.
The numerous animals engaged in various activities outside add a lot of visual interest. How long will you keep this together?

It is coming down soon. I need to start building something else for December (no not castle).
I know a lot of people keep everything together but I have two issues with that personally. 1) I need to reuse my bricks...and not replace them every time. Money does not grow on the trees in my world. 2) Space...the final frontier...no seriously, I don't have space to keep big builds together. This one does collapse down into 4 containers and 4 walls hanging about.
Oh I guess I forgot to mention...the walls are all build independently (which seriously takes up a ton more bricks than a normal build). The base is in 6 sections.
Under the bed containers are awesome. Seriously they are loooooooooong and not deep so they dont' normally weigh too much to carry. Unless you are tearing the thing down as fast as possible and shove way too much into it. And AND AND! They slide under your bed for hiding in between events. Or in my case, under the pool table.
The brick built awnings...violated my rule of do not custom LEGO parts, but I had to. Folding them just didn't work. Taking them apart...is going to be a royal pain in the megablok.
Thanks for enjoying it.

Great work as always Blue! I am in the middle of doing a castle town/city and you've given me some inspiration

Another excellent castle, Blue. All the awnings look great, and I quite like the nougat and white colored buildings, along with the palm trees lining the road. Fabulous work with the oasis as well

Thanks guys. I tried. I had fun with it and didn't care what anyone else would say or think about it. Yeah it looks like a very simplistic build, but it is absolutely not at all. It was built to move. The base breaks into 6 pieces, the castle into 4 separate walls (which completely took way more parts than it should have had it been one piece), the buildings and stalls are separate too. It takes me about and hour to tear it down...and about 2 to 4 to get it all set up again...depending on if I get distracted by others.
The only thing I would change on it would be to have made brick built doors. I just didn't have the time to mess with them the first time and then I just never came back to that. That and it is an odd mix of fig sized and smaller than fig sized. But whatever. All the little girls that saw it were all

. Which means in a few years there will be more tan castle building females. Because the world can never get enough of them.
Kids can't keep their hands off the animals in this one. They haven't seen some of them before and they want to touch.

Hey Blue,
Looks awesome. I especially like the canopies you made with the nets and the trans-red 1x1s Very cool effect.
