My 7th and final entry to the CCC, for the Fantasy Fortress category. This build took much longer to complete than I would have liked, but I think it turned out pretty well in the end. Attempting to make the clouds look like clouds was one of the hardest parts, and I’m still not entirely sure that I succeeded with them, but I don’t think they’re terrible either. The entire idea for this build came after I saw a piece of art that used onion domes as the roofs for a floating fantasy fortress – upon seeing the onion domes, I knew I wanted to try something similar. And so, after several failed attempts, I came up with a dome design that I liked, and the diorama just grew from there. The flying carpets were another fun component of the build to make.
Al-Danah is rumored to be an incredibly rich fortress city nestled in Kaliphlin’s highest mountains – amidst the clouds. Genies are said to be common-place in this fabulous domain, with their flying carpets being one of the main modes of transportation. Soaring towers and closely packed houses linked by bridges provide the inhabitants with shelter. Exotic goods of all kinds are peddled throughout the fortress' well kept streets of the finest Garnaite.

Fantastic build! I quite like the onion domes and clouds. As with most designs, there's often a way to improve, but I think you pulled them off well right now. Additionally, we need more non-traditional medieval/fantasy themed MOCs, and you're making that a reality!
