Post by Piglet »

Hello

I'd like to share my newest heavily castlish MOC: Compact Castle

It's a small castle with interior and all the most important castle stuff.

Requirements for this MOC were that:
- would have a 1 BP footprint
- was (at least potentially) playable
- would have everything a castle should have (drawbridge, grate, tower, throne room, stable, dungeon, etc.)

The castle has:
- an elevating drawbridge and a grating
- body openable into two parts
- openable main (residential) tower
- openable side tower
- openable wall near the stairs to the royal chambers
- removable roofs
- a trapdoor in the throne room
- secret passage from the throne room in the fireplace

You can find such rooms:
- kitchen
- honey / beer / wine cellar
- prison
- armory
- guards' bedroom
- dining room
- stable
- side tower
- a watchtower above the gate
- the main building with the throne room on the ground floor
- the royal chamber upstairs
- jester / chamberlain house next door
- residential tower, with a knight's chamber on the ground floor
- royal dining room on the first floor
- the princess chamber on the second floor
- wizard / alchemist chamber upstairs

The model has just over 6,000 elements

This castle is incredible! I love the stonework. The roof and windows are terrific. The detailed interior and its surprises are great. Amazing job.

I would love to see more castles like this. Huge castle's are nice and all, but the details can be hard to see sometimes.

I love this, from the more simple design, the the overall compactness of it.

I love this too. This even wouldn't look too out of place on my layout since it doesn't have too much embellishment of the walls and the size is fine, though most of my castles are bigger.
