August Activity: Castle things that start with A

It would be lovely to add some actual content to the site. So time to time we'll pull out a letter...like A for this month. And ask for things that are castle that start with A. It can be a build, definitions, descriptions, famous people (real or fictitious), just whatever A it is.

So I'm going to start with:
Archery - a sport that can be just a sport or used for hunting. It consists of the use of a bow (there are more than one kind) and an arrow. A string is pulled back, and let go, then the arrow flies.
Arrow - a projectile that consists of a point on one end, some kind of guidance on the other like feathers.
