Keep for an Enclosure Castle

(Not sure if "enclosure castle" is the correct term, but it seems to encompass the idea.)
I've been wanting to build a castle keep with opening sides and an operational drawbridge for some time, but not wanting to use large castle wall sections its taken longer than expected.

The keep is designed to be built into my 15 high walls as the main building of a Dunstanburgh style castle. Two towers and a gatehouse will complete the main fortifications.
9 high walls connecting to the main towers will enclose the town buildings and harbour, and I'll probably use 6 high walls around the slums and/or leper colony (if they're lucky enough to get walls that is!)
As a few examples of the desired effect ...
... with James' castle as a backdrop
... without James' castle (and hence the need for an alternative )
