Hi all,
Here's my new
vignette/movie poster.
Inspired by
Terry Prosper and
Fred Carcanague.

Now I've got that darn lurking shark music running through my brain.
Oddly, I could barely read the word "Jaws" but the "illustration" told me all that I needed to know.
And, of course, if anyone responds to this message with "Bruce", do they mean you, me, or the shark?

HEEEEEEEEEERE'S BRUCEY!!

Hey, that looks great, though it took me a second to figure out the angle, and the text is a little too hard to read. Hmm...I need to post some more of my vignettes...
Cool as usual, Bruce!

Aw man, that's awesome. At first I didn't know that it said Jaws at the top.
You did a great job, looks just like the poster.

thats pretty cool.. now I am of course envisioning so many movies as vignettes

not that I'll do them, I'll leave it to the pros.

Very cool. I too had a hard time reading the JAWS at the top, but it in no real substantial way diminished my enjoyment of the creation.

Bruce... I am humbled to be inspiration for you.
That is an outstanding poster vignette, simple but gets in all the detail of a huge box office poster. Also a most excelent job on the soon to be victim.
After seeing this I did another flip thru Brickshelf folders and really loved the Disney characters. Capt. Hook and Smithey are dead on. How did you get Peter Pan there w/o a shadow for the support?

Lets see some more of these!

Thanks for the kind words.

He can fly! He can fly!
Or he can cheat with photoshop

I used one of those clear supports, but went back in and painted it out afterwords.

Nice job on the poster. As with others, I didn't read "Jaws" right away, but that might well have been because I was seeing it more as vignette than as a poster re-done. The source was obvious right away, of course.

Hello!
That's funny! Not for the poor girl, of course...
As for the word "Jaws": The studs are distracting. Maybe it would have been better if you filled the gaps between the letters with white plates. Though I see on the 'S' that it is not quite possible....
Bye
Jojo, who never saw the movie. Seriously.

Cool Bruce! I like it. The whole design is cleverly done, very different from the usual. I have to agree that the Jaws sign is hard to read, but that is ok.
Dan
P.S. I have never seen the movie either.
