first lego set
in this forum, feel free to post your first lego set that you recieved. Mine was the 6263 Imperial outpost, back when I was about 5 or 6.
I was around... 10? Well, I'm not sure exactly how old I was, but the Kings Castle had just come out, and my grandfather gave it to me...MAN! I was hooked for life after that!

I don't remember what my first set was, but I do remember what my first LARGE set was. The King's Mountain Fortress. I loved it. Unfortunately I dropped it at one point, and when I wanted to put it back togther, I discovered that my dad had thrown away the instructions!!!

I received several while I was in and out of the hospitals when I was a kid, but the first one that I really really remember getting and getting excited about was a classic space set with two crater plates (wish they'd bring back those) and a little moon base and a launcher. Man that thing was sweet.

Hello!
My first set was one of the Universal Building Sets #40 or #50 (in America #113 and #114) (Picture shows #40):
My first Castle set (since this is the Castle Sets forum) were 6022 and 6040. I got them together so I can't tell which one has been the very first Castle set I got.
Bye
Jojo

This is just the sort of nonsense up with which I will not put.

My first Lego was when I was 4. It was a blue truck (a tractor trailer unit I believe) that had the steering wheel on top, a shaft came up through the cab. This is 28 yrs ago so I am a bit fuzzy on the details. It had the 2x4 with holes for red whels with metal stub axles to click into......
First castle set was the yellow castle which I got in 1979 after I got out of the hospital from getting tubes put in the tympanic membranes of both my ears (used to get repeated boughts of otitis media as a youngster).
Sadly I did not snap up evry new set as they came available. I got different sets as a child. Some classic space, some Technic. I really got back into castle in 1991 and that is all I have built since.

I do not remember my first set, Nor am I perfectly sure wich was the the first castle set 6012 siege cart or 6039 twin arm launcher, but most likely it was the siege cart, anyway both set sets are very special to me, and now I have a few of each assembled.

My first Lego set was just a tub of basic bricks that I got for Christmas, my Dad and me made a house out of it. My first castle set was Royal Knight's Castle, it was a thrift store find.

Hey,
My first set must have been some basic set. I had a big box of regular bricks and plates, no idea which set it was. My first set I remember getting was 442 Space Shuttle and I was about 5. My first castle set was 6077 Knight's Procession and then I was a hopeless addict.

Re: first lego set
I had basic Lego as a child, but I haven't any idea what sets I got. In the 'modern era', my first set was 6080 for my 25th Christmas!

My first lego set was Broadside's Brig (6259):

And I still think Castle and Pirate are the best themes today. I don't remember my first Castle set, though I'm sure it was little. For years my lego collection was made up of whatever I could buy for $2 and one larger set from my grandparents on my birthday...
Now onto more important matters:
God Bless,
