Meet Steve.
He's an Ogre.
He's sensitive.
He hates Trolls.

------------------------
Steve is a modified copy of Micah Berger's Brute Ork, found
HERE. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so there you go, Micah. As soon as I saw your Ork I knew I had to build one. Of course I already have Orcs in my story, so I made Steve an Ogre.
Now upon first glance you may not notice too many things different between the Brute Ork and Steve, and you'd be right. But here are a few of the things I've changed:
- Opaque Eyes
Shortened Face
(Eye)Brow Ridge
Flat top helmet(due to part inavailability)
Fingerless Gloves
Larger (in color), differently shaped boots
Larger (in color) elbow pads (due to part inavailability)
Different hip joints (due to part inavailability)
Shoulder pads/spikes
Further sculpted spine
And the biggest (most noticable) change:
One of the things that strikes me about the differences is the simple change in the head height and the brow ridge. Micah's Ork looks mean but more human. My Ogre, with his shorter face and nose touching his bottom lip, looks dumber and angrier, more neanderthalish.
I gotta say I love this design. Micah has created a very well put together, sturdy MOC that is one of the most fun toys I've played with in a long time.

I'm not sure I approve of the name.

My first name is Johan, Ive been harassed and called "toilet" (Johan-Toan) and "That-King-Who-Died-Of-Poisoned Soup".
This is nothing. Besides, Steve sounds very intellectual, so I guess it was why the name was chosen.
Besides, Steve is the name of my favorite character in the "Bluntmations" by Nate "Bluntman" Burr.
NOW TO TOPIC:
At distance, its looks identical but when taking a better look its different, I like the whole thing except that the hands look overdimensioned now, or perhaps it is the black "gloves" that makes the hands look so big? With one exception, I think its awesome.
Will we see this and perhaps some more of them in Chaos Skies?

I think it looks really cool, the colours work well and its a very good MOC.
You could make a whole tribe of them,

Hello Steve!
Wow, Steve is so cool! I want one! In fact, looking at my collection, I think I can build one...

So is this what you've been working on instead of writing the next chapter?
I'm going to have to make one of these too. The rotating hip is definitely a huge improvement. I also think that the gloves were a good idea, but they might look better with black hips on the legs. I also think that Steve's flatter face is much more orgre-ish. And the shoulder spikes are definitely an improvement.
Nice job. Now,
get back to writing!

Very cool creature (but your use of the English language needs a little work

). I got a real chuckle out of the hands. It looks like Steve got his hands by pile driving his arm onto some hapless minifig. I think I prefer to see the hand as all one colour (as Micah's is) so that it isn't so obvious that its a dismembered fig.
Can you give pics of the how the joints are put together? I'm just not 'seeing' how you do it.

Heheh, where to start? Well, first off I gotta say kudos to you for making a duplicate ork/ogre without anything to go on but my, somewhat blurry pics.
I like the redesigned face, especialy the brow ridge and the spikes on the shoulders.
But what I really like is the new hip design and the added rotating-disc on the waist. You might have redesigned the hips out of lack for parts but it's actually a better design then mine(whose legs were always falling off) and you may consider it stolen.

Ok now I'm going red, but you know, they also say that There's nothing like an admin endorsed modification to promote widespread troll construction and creature creativity. And that's a good thing.

Heh, I think one is all I can make, but if we all made one and brought them to brickfest or something... I don't know. Anyway, great job Anthony

What a great MOC! This is one that I'm really going to study to learn more advanced techniques. Flawless. The only improvement I could think of at first would be a larger weapon, but then I realized the axe just makes Steve look bigger. Wonderful work, Sava and Micah.

nice moc! i like the use of frogs as ears, if that is what they are (you never know with ogres)
he needs a bigger axe though
and if he hates trolls, he can always give them to me, i have none

If I had one of these I wouldn't always have to use my dragons to rip my troll apart :/
nice work anyway
and btw I think anthony's story is as good as written because the chapter names are already there

I asked this in the other thread too....
So, are Steve and Fergus on speaking (or would that be grunting) terms?
