New KK2 set: Fireball Catapult

Post by Tyler »

Well, I know that most of us have seen a picture or two of it, but I just bought the set...would anyone care for pictures?
Btw, I also saw the Scorpion cage set and another...let me look up the name. But the Fireball Catapult was 9.99 CAD at Toys R Us in Canada (obviously...)

Is it worth posting pictures of? In other words, do you like it? 8)

Since you already made the new thread... might as well give us something to gawk at. ;-) I'd love to see it!

I'd like to see it as well. I'll be holding my breath until I do see what it looks like; it seems that KKII, yr. 2 has rather mixed quality (although most of it is at least looking up).

I just went and purchased 2 of the Battle Wagon and a Vladek's Fortress. I had to go immediatly to work after so I have not even had a chance to open them. They look very promising though. Vladek's castle is HUGE!!!!! 967 pieces! When I saw the part quantity I had to have it. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is the largest castle set ever put out by TLC. These new KKII sets look very nice. My favorite part is that they all seem to include many Shadow Knights. Will post pics when I have them built. I actually was looking for the poly bag with the 'young' Vladek when I found these. If anyone finds those poly bags, please post where you found it.
Why do you need all those minifigs? You'll poke your eye out!

wow... so they have it in Utah... I was under the impression that it was only as close as Canada, but not in the states yet... (hope I don't sound too ignorant by saying that ;-))

I haven't seen it at the shops I frequent in ny yet ~ :?

There are so many great Utah and Canada jokes, but I'll refrain from saying any of them here..... Instead I'll stay on topic and say that I might actually purchase one of the new sets, (I didn't buy any of round 1, just a few pieces off of Bricklink).

Heard 'em all.... Heck, most my friends and I are convinced that there should just be a wall around the state, or something. Anyway, back on topic....

Thank you, quiksand, for revealing to me that I can get the new sets! You just made my day. I'd say that I'll post pictures, too, but a lot of people have already vowed that.... BTW, quiksand, did you find these in a TRU or some other store?

They’ve even come to my nice little corner of the US. Though I haven't been able to get Vladek's Fortress just yet, don’t have the funds. :(

I found all of the sets at Toys'R'Us. And man is that crome-crinkle armour sweet!!! :D This may be my new favorite set. 8877 Vladek's Dark Fortress is a major contender for all time most bada** set. 967 pieces, 8 men, 2 horses, 1 skeleton. So many parts, so many men, the best shields, the coolest armour, nice weapon assortment, and it's modular, and it's built on base plates. The only thing I dislike about this set is the jellybean knights. And even they look 100% better then the originals. The green guy has a dark emerald colored helmet and gloves. He's the best jellybean by far. Oh man TLC made my year with this set. The 8874 Battle Wagon is alright as well. I opened one and I think I'll keep the other in the box....at least till I hear those two Shadow Knights calling me.

A question; The Shadow Knight, is the scorpion's head upwards and tail downwards? If so, I need to start on new with another group of Shadow Knights...

WOW! That is impressive... it seems that Vladek's castle is a bit more than Castle Morcia ever was... even though it doesn't change colors from blue to red. ;-)

8 men...really?? I'm looking forward to that... must thank LEGO for giving some true value to the set's cost on this one ~
