Not a Castle MOC, but fun anyway!

Post by Jim »

Here's a town/train MOC that I built. It was my first building of this style, and I had fun building it!

What do yall think?

Well, it's kinda big... and that sand green color is really uncommon... and that mottled roof is a bit overdone.... but I guess for a "non-castle" MOC, it's well... okay...

Okay, it's freakin' very cool!!!!! :D
Plus the roof trim and the 1x2 tiles on the corners are excellent!
Is that light bley or classic grey?
Great job!!

It reminds me of the old ZCMI building in Salt Lake. Your attention to detail is simply astounding; everything from the red brick wall on the side to the round bricks running along the edges. My only complaint is the door, though. The red really stands out. I would suggest swapping it with either a green or brown, but since doors like that are harder to come by nowadays, you might just want to keep the red. Other than that, it's one of the best town MOCs I've seen!

Dude, thats a building.

The building.

The one building.

The one building to rule them all.

Unique color, awesome design, victorian? (Im not sure about buildings)
If lego released sets like this for a cheap price, I would give up all other hobbies more than lego I think...

Where did you get all those pieces of that green? Pick-a-brick?

Wow! This is cool. I saw this on Brickshelf and was blown away. Excellent job! The exposed "brick" on the back is a nice touch, all the sand green looks great, and your mottled roof is perfect. And I love the red door. The house I grew up in had a red door, makes me nostalgic :( . Great build!

Cool! not castle, but still good! The brick on the back is good too. Although I don't see what this has to do with trains.

That's magnificent. You're a brick genius.

That guy with the little mustache by the umbrella in the back gives me the creeps, though.

Thanks for the nice comments!

Its classic grey.
Unique color, awesome design, victorian?
I'm certainly not an expert, but I believe that its more Victorian than not.
Where did you get all those pieces of that green? Pick-a-brick?
Mostly from sets, plus a bricklink order :)
Although I don't see what this has to do with trains.
Train folks like to include large buildings like this in their layouts, so I thought they might appreciate it.
That guy with the little mustache by the umbrella in the back gives me the creeps, though.
Haha!

Thanks again
