MOC the Admins Contest Entries

Discussion of personal LEGO Castle creations

Here is my first entry to the contest: "Holy Grail"
Image

"In his search for rare minifig shield torsos, Ben disgards the most sacred relic. Bruce and Nate look on...."

And, here is my second entry to the contest: "Ultimate Wisdom"
Image

The CC Admins are at the end of their quest for the legendary 'Ultimate Wisdom'. Little do they know that Joe Vig is unwittingly involved....

(Note: I did not have the right parts to make the sig-figs of the Admins, but I think I've MOC'ed them all. Also, on the second vig, I've employed the amazing technique of Steve DeCraemer for the mountain. And, it's nice to see a spacey Joe Vig! :P ) Enjoy!

I really like this vig. Great use of Steve D's technique to create a believable cliff face in such a small space. If you don't mind I could use this in a couple of vigs I've had in mind.

I can see it now:

Bruce: "Mine!"
Me: "Mine!"
Ben: "Ohh! An original Yellow Castle sticker!"

Late at night, Nate and Jen chat....

Nate transforms from the admin we all know to the.... *drum roll*

Unfortunately, I didn't have the right parts to make Jen, so I improvised.

That, I must say, is one of the better MOCs here. You did a great in making Nathan grovel. But perhaps just a bit lower and dirtier.

porschecm2 - That is one of the best vig's I've ever seen. Brilliant concept. I have to say, in general I'm a bit "vig'd" out, but this one is really exceptional.

Great job! :)

I also liked Darkie's and Mr. D's.

The contest entry deadline has now passed.

However, because I forgot about posting a reminder as to the end of the contest, I will give everyone till the end (midnight) of today (tuesday, 30th) to put in their last minute entries (if any).

Hahaha  ... I have to ask, is that a real thread that got deleted (I can't find it in the archives) or is it a clever photo-manipulation?

Oh yeah, the vignette is clever too.

As I believe that was an actual thread, it did go missing so most likely was deleted. 8)

Too bad I never entered even though I said it was. My digital camera has failed every single time I take a picture. Besides there already was a vig that was alot like it, but I'm not saying which.

Oh, that's a real thread. I took a screen shot to ensure it would live in posterity. And to tease Nate for some time afterwards. ;)
