Been trying out various designs for windows using this as the main component in a 4x4 stud configuration protruding from the wall. In all likelihood these designs have probably been done already as I didn't bother to research them and will be used for some entries in the contest.

Awesome window designs!
I like the windows with the flags most.
I agree...I'll have to try out some window/flag designs in the future.
I like the window with the green & white penants hanging to the sides...looks really good.

This one was great too...

I like all these designs... I think I like this one the most (http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/ACPin ... a14_03.jpg).

I can see an enormous tower or wall with a whole bunch of windows like this... it would definatley fight of the big gray wall problem. The others are cool too, I think I like the one with the swords the most... I guess I just like less detail for castles... but the windows with banners are also very cool.

Well done AC ~

And Jacob C., your castles are realy great! I guess you were inspired by french style castles when you builded the one with the round tower. The others are a bitt english

Very Cool AC. I like the ones with flags as well, but they are all pretty cool.

Thanks all for the compliments and feel free to use any designs that you've seen. It's always good to experiment with various designs before actually building the whole thing.
