CCC3 Entry: Oasis Siege

Post by Athos »

Here's my first entry. The Saracens mount an attack on the Crusaders' oasis keep:

Hey, I like it. Looks pretty cool. I think you may have 1 to many pictures for the contest though.

Heh.

I like the keep, but I think you could have improved the ram to give a better idea of 'animal skins', if that's what you were going for. More mottling here and there.

Otherwise, great!

I like the design of the wall and tower.
Could you use a tan baseplate instead of green one? This is the Middle East region and most of the terrain there is mostly tan colored. Well it is an oasis, maybe it should be green. Oh well, just thought tan would look better.

I don't like the color scheme on the battering ram. I do like how you used those new smaller wheels, looks good on it. Also, how about showing wall damage from the battering ram's beating.

Good work Athos :)

Fixed now. For some reason I got the number 4 in my head, rather than 3

I just thought a tan wall and a tan baseplate would be way too much tan. I was going to use a brown plate, but forgot to get it from storage. So I decided to call it an oasis, to cover up the whole green baseplate thing.

Cool seige scene! I like the oasis setting alot. It would have been a nice touch to show some damage from the ram, but it is still good without it. Good job!

Bruce, you nearly killed me here. I choked on my tea when I read that. :)
