Leave it to Athos and his great vigs  This one looks good, yet I wish it could be a bit bigger for more detail. :?
Respectfully submitted,

Nice, but I'd rather see the "True" history with the Spanish mutilating the innocent natives.
We're not retreating, just advancing in another direction.

Another great vig! Now that we have Vikings, you need to make Leif Eriksen "discovering" America too. :)

Just look at the way that guy is holding the sword. To many, it's just an easy way of getting that sheathed look. But to me, it says the guy's about to attack!

*ahem*

Great vig, Athos! Your use of color immediately reminds me of the Caribbean. And the black armor works great with the Spaniards!

And then do the Chinese discovering America. Of course I would say Vikings discovered it before the Chinise, maybe? But give credit for the people already living there, who are the true first discoverers.

I like the Spaniards figure and that Columbus is holding a sextant.
Good work Athos. :)

Great vignette.

No. Nothing else. No political diatribe.

Nice little vignette... as a wannabe history buff (good with history but too lazy to actually know a LOT), I like it.

What really impresses me is the black armour (Vikings, right?) paired with the Conquistador helmet. Not a brilliant idea, by any means, but one that never occurred to me, and seeing it now I have to say that this is what the Imperial Armada should have looked like. Cool as that chrome armour was, this matches much better.

So, kudos!

Yes...what we Europeans (all of us - Spanish, French, English, etc.) did in America to the natives was awful. But we aren't here to debate that.

I like the vignette...you got the 'Spaniard' look you got for them just right. I also like the inclusion of the map. And I like having the Islanders in there - a nice reference to the original Pirates line, which was set in the Caribbean. Okay, it's a bit cramped, but I suppose it gives it a more 'jungle' look.

Thanks!
