V-Pod Mania!!

Post by Sir Nelson »

My V-Pod gallery has grown fourfold! :D

and...

4. Magic Mushroom (a Cheech and Chong vignette)

Coming up with ideas for V-Pods is fun, but challenging. Once you build one, you are faced with the possibility that the pieces won't fit inside the pod container. I had to take some of these apart to test that, then rebuild them again. IMHO, I don't feel that you have to put all of the pieces inside the pod - as long as they are still secured to the cover of the V-pod when it is closed. :)

Anyway, that's today's thoughts from the Master Builder/MOCer! 8)

Enjoy!

Nice Vigs! I love the magic mushroom best. By the way, I hope you know that Boba Fett doesn't die in Episode VI; he manages to survive :). Keep up the good work, master moc'er.

I really like Magic Mushroom and On Target, but the others are great too. The Sarlacc has nice teeth, and the Disaster is funny.

Hehe, they're all very well done, but I think the disaster is the funniest.

The checkout has tons of awsome detail, and the cart is great.

The Sarlac, now that's a V-pod! It's the absolute best Lego rendition of a Sarlac that I have ever seen!!! The pod works great for the inside, and the teeth remind me very much of the ones in the movie.

I abhor Cheech and Chong, but the parts you used are really them.

I love these V-pods and as soon as I am done with my term paper, I will try a couple!

Love the Fett death, gory blood red pod for the inside of the throat? Genius!

The space pod is very clever too, nice use of the transparent rods. ;)

V-Pods just keep getting better and better. :D

I can't decide which is my favorite, though; I love Boba-Food for the awesome Sarlaac; On-Target has great detail; PCS Disaster is just plain funny; and Magic Mushroom is colorful (in more ways than one :P).

Great work as always!

Hi Nelson,

These vigs are great. The Sarlac one could be a set. Your space moc is very funny. Plus William Swanberg finally has his own target moc ;)

Nelson, awesome job on the V-Pods!

My favorite is Boba Food, with Magic Mushroom in close second. Very creative. And I agree with architect, Boba Food could be a nice little set. I think it would be a hit with the Star Wars community.

Unbelievably cool, Nelson. Boba-Food is awesome, and Magic Mushroom is absolutely hilarious (I love the cartoon). :D

I also notice that you've built across many different themes -- Town, Space, Star Wars, etc. Nice.

Excellent Vigs, as always! My favorites are Magic Mushroom and Boba Food. Your Cheech and Chong figs are perfect, but wait, isn't that really just Og the caveman with sunglasses? :)
