What kind of army?

Post by Lord Nev »

What nationality does your army sport? Japanese, Gothic, Saxon....

Mine is Saxon. Lots of pointy helmets and armor.
Beware the day my soul is unleashed. Not even Megablocks itself will rival its fire!

Ditto on that. Whatever looks good, really. Dwarves, Dragon's Masters, and a smattering of pseudo-historical figures.

I suppose the Royal Knights I've garrisoned my 6090 with would be English...

My armies represent just about all the major cultures in the Ancient world, including two which are mythological/fantasy like the Kahilwayans (a Malayan people from what we now call Southeast Asia). Thats my region of ethnic origin, and to conform with some regional mythology including myths from China... the Kahilawayans the oldest, most powerful, and technologically advanced civilization in the world. How advanced? To the point of spacefaring technology, teleportation, "HeavenGates", genetic engineering, and etc.

The other fantasy civilization are the Atlanteans. Techwise, they're on the Medieval level, but with rockets, cannons, and rifle-lances.

Here's the complete list of civilizations:
Ashur (Assyria)
Atlantis
Bantu (sub-saharan Africa)
Celts
Chaldea (Babylon)
Dogon (sub-saharan Africa)
Egypt
Eturia (Etruscan)
Hattusas (Hittite)
Hellas (Greece)
Hsia (China)
Iberia (now spain & portugal)
Iroqouis
Inca
Judea
Kahilawayan (Southeast Asia)
Kazakh (Kazakhstan)
Khmer (Cambodia)
Koguryo (Korea)
Latium (Romans)
Libya
Maya (meso-Americans)
Mongolia
Norse
Persia
Phrygia (Troy)
Rama (ancient India)
Saba (Arabia)
Scythia
Siam (Thailand)
Sibirysky (Russia/Slavic)
Souix
Tyre (Phoenicia)
Yayoi (ancient Japan)

It's difficult to select a nationality for my army, except in some specific cases. Greek Hoplites, Roman Legionaires, Vikings, Dwarves, Hobbits, and Orcs are all specific, but the rest tend to switch sides as called for. The Pikemen may be swiss one day, scots the next, and lowlanders the day after. Crossbowmen are definitely mercenaries. Scaled torso with bullet or nasaled helms may be Crusaders, Saxons, or Normans. You get the idea.

I've decided to add more Castle factions, but this time they're purely Fantasy and instead of being on Earth... they're on other worlds.

My armies are all fantasy, but if I had to pick a theme, I'd say british for most of them. Probably something scottish or Irish for my barbarians.

The hardest choice would just be trying to decide where my vikings go.

Primarily Saxon-like. Most of my armies resemble some sort of European look (like English or French). My vikings are also a decent size.

However some of my armies look more like middle-eastern to oriental. In addition I do have some fantasy-type soldiers (close to LOTR).

I also have a growing faction of euro-looking soldiers, but who are sporting the rectancular striped shields and have a somewhat Roman appearance.

I have no super-specifics, I try to remain fairly historical, but with no actual nationalities involved.

I had a large orcish army that looked very much like Saurons army from LOTR.Only not as big  It was a good size army but I am now wrecking it to make a more "civilized army".
