In perverse mockery of Moko's wonderful figs, I've decided to display a week's worth of figs one day at a time - for a week or until my attention span runs short.
Today's installment is the son of a rich noble armed for war - but his mail-sleeves are too long and his sword too heavy!

EDIT: almost forgot, that's TwoTonic's decal work there.

hehe, awesome. I love the sleeves dude! I can see this little guy trotting off to war behind his da' until a swift whack on the tail with the flat of a sword sends him scurrying homeward.
can't wait to see more.

He looks like the son of a rich guy, too.

Good work, can't wait to see the rest!

I agree, and I like the mail sleeves. This reminds of a scene from a book or movie that I can't remember, where a kid follows his dad, but gets beaten up. I think it's from the
Horse and His Boy, by C.S. Lewis.
Do I espy those cool dwarf legs? (Dwarf-o-vision at work again)

What's the hair made of, Sculpey?

Nice work!
Love the customized hair.
and I'm pretty sure its just made of some long lego hair cut to size.
You don't mind if I steal that idea do you?

I like it, except for the hair. His mail sleeves are too long, but so are his arms! The sticker is cool.

I don't think so.
The Horse and His Boy doesn't have a kid following his dad (IIRC). It's about Shasta escaping from Calormen.

No, it's a female hair piece cut down (that particular color is from an Episode Two [Star Wars] Obi-Wan).

Yeah, but there's a part near the end where his long-lost twin brother convinces him to sneak off to the climactic battle with him . . .
Either way, you did a nice job on the fig, especially the hair - it looks like it could be used for a boot-camp soldier fig.

Yeah, I know, but he's not really following his father. Oh well, let's stop talking about it (don't want to start a debate

).

Correct! Glad everyone liked the little tyke.
Next up, a villianous viking:

What's that? I'm just using stuff that's already been done? Hush, you.

Great job on the hair, I'd do that if I had more of those. The sleeves do a great job of making the coat look too big.
I hate to say it, but that face realy messed up the viking fig. Try painting him a real right eye, perhaps. Interesting Castle use of Han Solo's gun belt, though. I rather like it.

Hmm... that's the only fig i've ever made with the face that I liked. His eye matches the armor and gauntlets very well.
EDIT: On the kid, I actually didn't cut the hair for that reason. I cut off the bottom part to stick on a helmet - it'll be on tomorrow's fig.

Like the new viking! I like that head on there, and Han's belt.

Oh, good. I just didn't like that hair because it would leave him bald in the back. It also looks like it wouldn't stay on that well. However, I like it a lot when long hair is attached to a helmet.

I've used this method before and had the top part left over. It really does give him a bowl cut, and looks perfect for a kid or a scribe. It stays on just fine.
OT - I like the villainous viking! the eye looks great, and that helmet is pretty nifty dude.
