Starbucks Logo

Post by JoshWedin »

Hey All,

Check out this great Starbucks logo by eugenetan. There is also an excellent Road Runner sculpture if you go up in the gallery.

Well I love starbucks. Where I live, there is one on every corner so I think its pretty cool to see one out of Lego.

Starbucks burns their coffee. If you want decent coffee, try and find a corner shop, or a little coffee stand. Odds are very good the coffee will at least be semi good.

That said, it IS a Seattle Icon (Up there with the Tully's T on I-5 and Seattles Best Coffee across from Pike Place), and it was executed very well.

Although I'm not a big fan of the coffee, the atmosphere at every Starbucks is consistantly good for me, although it would be even more so with one of these in every window! :P

This is really well done, although I must confess to being a bit amazed by it... the logo might not seem to complex, but I would guess that making the letters and the woman in the middle out of LEGO bricks was a real annoyance.

Very nice - well done - nice find!

The thing that's really cool to me about this one is how they got a pretty consistant script even though the letters are each rotated by a few degrees with respect to the previous one. There are a fair number of examples of brick alphabets out there, but those are all facing the same way. For this one he had to come up with a new solution for each letter. Notice that S, C, F and E are all repeated, but they had to use different designs since they are at different angles. I really like that Roadrunner as well.

Nicely done! Besides anything 'political' about the company the LEGO work is awsome. The script is executed very well and the colors are great. Overal just a great example of great LEGO-ing.
