Customized D&D Figures

Postby Glencaer » Wed Jun 07, 2006 1:21 pm

I play Dungeons and Dragons, and I make our characters out of LEGO. For >>my<< characters, I sometimes do a bit of customization to make them look just right. If I really like other's characters, I might customize for them, but usually not. Anyways, here's my latest character:

Here's another look. I used RedBean's bow, but stringing the bow has never been something I liked. You use string and either make it taut or loose so you can set up an arrow. I had the thought to use a rubber band to do both, but the string hole is sooo small! So I cut a LEGO rubber band down the middle of the band and looped it around the top and bottom. Looks pretty good and is loose enough to string an arrow!

The character is Oagruk, a half-orc Barbarian-Sorcerer. Oagruk lived on the outskirts of his mother's village, fighting Orcs and Humans to stay alive. During this period he developed his wild magical abilities, becoming a sorcerer. When an Orc band attacked the village, Oagruk was named a traitor and hunted down by the Paladin Nobar Torm. Oagruk's sister proved his innocence and enlisted Oagruk to help battle an invading Orc Horde.

Enjoy!

Really cool figs. Oagruk is clearly the best, followed by Saeboth. I think that that elf face decal (is that what it is?) looks surprisingly good on the sand green.

These are fantasy-tastic!

I saw the hacksword some time ago, and loved it then. I was hoping you'd make a LEGO version of that orc you drew! Good work on the hair.

And wait, what!?

I really like the hair piece used for the orc. Is that just a regular LEGO Ponytail hair piece carved downed and polished?

I believe that the paladin is my favorite - reminds me of the LOTR. Not that the other figs are worse, on the contrary - they are all awesome. Last but not least: the ponytail really catches the eye. Overall, great work!

That half-orc has a really nice undercut ;) *imagines synth and goth MOCs* :P

Anyways, nice work on all three of them, I´m not really a fan of D&D even though I have played it far too much...

Oagruk's head printing.... is that printed with RB's legendary waterslide?

D&D with Lego, ya i have friend who does that too, might be cheaper than official D&D miniature? No offense to WotC

Excellent job. I used to play D&D and all we used were our extra dice to represent our players. But that's a good idea. Maybe I could make my ranger/monk Cedric and show it on here.

One question. How would you go about making 2 kukari's?

Hello,
My personal favorite is the orc. The others are a little too plain. Keep up the good work :D !

Good lookin' stuff Lenmeister. I like the hair piece on the half orc. Looks a little like a drow. I used to make these types of figs back in my D&D playing days.

Thanks for the good words. Of course, after I stay up all night making a Oagruk, I go off to play. In the dungeon, he gets turned into stone by a medusa!! He's dead and we are 5 levels away from having a stone-to-flesh spell!! Oh well...

I like the knight the best, but the orc has a cool cape.

Realy cool figs. I like all of them, especially the rogue archer.
