Black Falcon's Citadel Updated
Heya!
Here the the folder for the recent building on the citadel.
This section mostly completes the front tower and drawbridge section. On the back side are 8 guest rooms for royal or important guests.
You can see there are 40 mounted knights in the courtyard (it will actually fit 50 knights on horseback).
I am leaving a lot of the little detail bits out of the construction for the moment. As you can see...my 4-year old gets to play with the castle as much as he likes. (His sister, who is 6, does the same). Any cool parts I build get taken apart rather quickly!
So, suggestions are ALWAYS welcome!

Several pics until then...

The tower is very nice, I like the way it sort of slopes out as it goes up (not really, but you know what I mean, it builds out in the center). I like the arrow loops everywhere, and the royal guest rooms are very nice. I like this hall too... it just seems nice. The courtyard looks great, and as always, looking forward to more,

Boy....I wish I had even 1/100 as many peices as you do. I really like the entire thing. I like the hallway that Smcginnis metioned. I can see that you went to the LEGO store rnear you . The closest one to me is 5 hours away by car...
Great Castle, I'm looking foreward to the finished product....even though that seems to be a long way away .

Heya, VERY impressive...
I like the interriors, especially the rooms with those medieval baldahined beds...
I see it's in progress, but I suppoased there will be some raised flags?
I really like that little bit of landscaping and flambeaus look nice...
I can't wait to see this showing in it's full shine, those little details you mentioned are what this needs...

THanks!
Thanks all for the comments!
It most def is still in progress. I am thinking another 6 monts to complete -- which will make the total work almost 2 years. Sheeeesh.
The fire pits are actually the ball turrets from one of the Star Wars sets. They do turn out excellent I think! They are expensive though to buy individually and the set is even more pricey.
The long hallway (which is quite bare), will be lined with couches and torches. I had the good fortune to go through Buckingham Palace a few years ago and that was one of the details that stuck with me.
I will be adding to the bedrooms as well -- heavy racks for armour and weapons...though I am waiting on parts as usual.
Thanks again for the commens and I'll see you all at BrickFest next year!!

The building is surely impressive, but I dont like the style. It looks more like a modern manhor than a medieval citadel. Still, its pretty consistent and well built and you surely deserve credit for building such a gargantuan construction.

It is a true masterpiece already, and when the details that grace the castle are erected, it will truly be a pinnacle that all future MOC builders can look upon and say, "this is the standard of building i hope to one day achieve."
Looking forward to the finished product like everyone else.

Most EXCELLENT!! I have been looking foreward to an update on this ever since you first showed it. It amazes me how you are able to cover such a large space with roofing and towers, it also amazes me how much lego you have.

Thanks!
Thanks for all the comments! I will have some new pictures this week and the castle will actually be going to an Anime show here in Denver (uncompleted).
Indeed, there is a LOT of Lego there. But, what better to spend all your money on!

As always... Amazing. I have to know. Did you buy all those BF figs on bricklink? Do you have a favored store? I'm running low in figs, I've been using most of them in my creations so I only have a few left.
Thanks and excellent job as always! This makes Ulmerius look Not So Large... (No offense Sava)
