Hey all,

Brickshelf user Lego-Knight12 has posted some great modular castle walls:

These walls look rather imposing when set-up together and the modularity seems to work really well, however I think they suffer a bit from big-grey-wall syndrome.

You just can't beat nice, big walls

... I think I need more light grey ...

Even though the lion head piece is in bley, it looks good the way it is.

These are some nice walls. I especially like the gate.

Sometimes Big Grey Walls can be nice, as long as only one or two people do them.

I'd have to concur. It's very simple and elegant in design. Maybe too simple and elegant? I really like the use of the slopes, especially atop the walls. It's also nice to see studs instead of SNOT craziness. Not that I have anything against SNOT techniques, I just think they're over-used.

Simple, yet ingeneous (sp?). Not much to them, but they look great!

They look very elegant considering the pieces he used. I may have to use this design in one of my MOCs soon.

Why doesn't LEGO take some ideas from fans and make stuff like these?

I mean seriously they would drive up business.
