What a shame. At least that is the right kind of problem to be having. They'll find the a good balance soon I hope.

Hmm, hopefully this gets sorted out soon. All my brothers would be devistated if they didn't receive LEGOs for Christmas.

But maybe this will help solidify the company's aims even more.

Simonsen declined to say how many orders had been turned down, but said the restructuring changes had affected the production of Duplo bricks and boxes with Lego City, Star Wars and Lego Technik sets.   notice how the jelly bean knight sales haven't been affected hmm... that would actually be good news.
Time to go nighty night mister west.

Quite true. That would be funny if lego made a cover up of jelly bean castle so that people can keep buying them without fear... Then they can jack the price up at the last minute. (quantity and demand)

It's the same problem that they had last year, and the year before. They always get backordered around Christmas. At least Vikings won't be affected.

That doesn't make any sense at all. I'm not saying your wrong. It's just that I don't understand what it is you're trying to say.

Just to let everyone know, the LEGO Ambassadors have been told that the reports of a LEGO shortage this holiday season stem from an interview given in Denmark with regard to a supply issue in Scandinavia, but remarks were misconstrued to represent a global issue.

So, it is not a global issue, but supplies may vary by country... no news there.

There is no LEGO "famine". Feast well this Holiday season!

This is indeed joyous news! My brothers will have their legos this Christmas after all!

Thanks for clearing this up Nelson!

It is to bad for those in the Scandinavian countries though...

Anyway, It is great to hear that this LEGO Famine is not for around here. Woot!

Thanks for the news, Sir Nelson!

What im saying is that lego doesn't say that they have a shortage, then people buy them for a low price. After that, they say they have a shortage, everybody wants one (look at TMX) and they jack the price up.

Yay! That means plenty of roast Lego, mashed Lego and Lego pie for Christmas dinner. Our bellies will be full! And God bless us everyone!

Seriously, its good to hear its not going to be a major issue. Though shortages in town and Star Wars really wouldn't have affected me much.
