We (neonbug and myself) have just completed an interior for the Classic Castle Colossal Contest IV. This was the first interior either of us has been involved in building and it was fun and frustrating all at the same time trying to focus on the small details to create the overall effect. Most frustrating the spinning wheel, I am not sure why I was so determined to get one in, but I was.

It was a great excuse to get some more delicious dark red bricks and pieces, and also get some more chrome pieces. Well we thought we would share it.

Very well done - your wall designs are very cool & I'm not sure which I like better - your spinning wheel or your stool. I like how you have done the balcony & stairs too. Great work & good luck

I like it! There is some nice tile work here and I love how the tablecloth has the slope at the end (decorative "tassle"). I wish you the best in the contest.

The stool was a last minute addition... my brain just suddenly clicked when I was doing something else and I had to quickly get up to get the two pieces before I forgot.

And I love tiles... especially some of the scala ones from the jewellery sets, but any tile is a good tile.

And I do love it when it happens... it is much better then sitting with all the Lego spread out about you, and no ideas... just mess to clean up afterwards.

Yes I guess, well Neon is more a brisluger... I am a little slack at those kinds of things.

This is going to be a real contender for the contest. I havent seen an interior like this in a long time. My favorite parts are how you did the tassles on the table and the way you have the tiles on the wall. Great job.

I was sad to see all the tapestries, since I wanted to go tapestry heavy when I started mine (and I don't have as many pretty tiles ).
You KNOW you have a good MOC when even the stool and door are impressive!

The tassel came about because it looked so boxy when the table was completed and I just sort of thought why it wouldn't look boxy in real life and the table runner hanging over came to mind.

And having so many pretty tiles was a lot of luck, I was trying to think of other ways to do tapestries, and the only other thing that came to mind were some of the belville cloth pieces (of which I could find none... I should take them out of the boxes and put them somewhere I can find).

I really like the layout of the rooms: very spacious, lots of details, and very interesting use of parts.
I particularly like the spinning wheel and the stool for it (very very interesting use of the flower stem!), and also the chairs for the dining table.
There was a diverse use of different colours, yet the combination is pleasing to the eye.
A very nice MOC indeed. good job!

I was a bit worried about using such a strange mix of colours... so I tried to make links to tie the colours together.... And it was my frist time really thinking about parts outside their intended uses.

This is great! On top of what everyone else said, I love your wall-hangings. They areawesome!
