Lego Castle the Video Game?

I was playing LSW and I thought, how great would a Lego Castle video game be?

It could cover all Castle eras, Vikings, and maybe even Ninjas!

Peasants would be like droids, they could operate levers and stuff but not much else.
Knights could be like Jedi, exept without the force and they couldn't deflect arrows.
Archers would be like Blaster characters.
Majisto, Willa and 2007 Necromancer would have magic similar to force powers.
Eck Cetera...

Wow, screw LSW, I want to play the game I just came up with! Does anyone else think this game should be made?

It's a great idea...but just an idea, I'm afraid.

There was a KK2 GBA game back in 2004, however, though somehow I don't think everyone on here would like it :P

Yeah, that was an in-universe game, I want something with actual legos!

My concepts. REALLY LONG POST!

In between levels, you would go to the Guarded Inn, your version of the Cantina/Dex's Diner. You'd see characters walking around, and chairs could be destroyed. Magic could be used on oil lamps to blow them up.

Characters:
Classic Knight: Has a lance. Works like an Imperial Guard.
Black Falcon: As above, but his spear gives him shorter reach.
Crusader: Just your generic swordsman. Think Obi-Wan without Force.
Crusades Archer: Like Captian Antillies. Attacks with dagger in close, and bow in far. Can be aimed.
Peasant: Operates controlls. Cannot build, attack, jump or pretty much anything else. Slow.
Shadow Knight: Long reach, and can slice horizontal with his halberd.
Danju: Like Qui-Gon. Can use limited magic.
Danju (2005): As above, but a little slower and enhanced attack.
Jayko: Like Jedi Luke. Double Jump, Fast, but weak attack.
Jayko (2005): His attack is average now, but so is his speed.
Jayko (King): As above, but can lead knights.
Rascus: Fast, can climb and grapple.
Rascus (2005): Can double jump and slide now.
Santis: Like Chewie. Big, Slow, Powerful.
Santis (2005): Now he moves as slow as possible, but has Chewie's arm rip.
Vladek: Average. Can lead Shadow Knights.
Vladek (2005): As above, but can lead Elite Shadow Knights.
Vladek: (2006): Can't lead Shadow Knights, but can lead Rouge Knights.
Elite Shadow Knight: Can deflect arrows. Slower than regular SK.
Rouge Knight: Fast but lower range. Otherwise like SK.
Bat Lord: Can lead Fright Knights. Limited Magic.
Fright Knight: Can operate seige machines better than other characters.
Bull Knight: Like Fright Knight, but slower.
Cedric: Can lead Bull Knights.
Willa: Magic user. Attacks with fists like Bib Fortuna.
Majisto: As Willa, but has a longer range with his wand. Leads Dragonmasters.
Dragonmaster: Better at riding than other characters.
Forestman: Fast, good range with bow. Think Ewok here, but tall.

Mini Kits would take the form of a treasure chest. The kits would be smaller versions of Castle vehicles, like a cart, seige tower, etc. Also, if you have save data from either LSW game on your memory card, the bartender at the Guarded Inn would let you buy an option to crossover the SW Characters! I know Castle and Space don't mix, but hey, LSW2 had the "Episode 1-3 Characters" option, so you never know!

Great idea. But if there were peasants, they should be able to jump and run. You could make a cripple that couldn't jump, and that would be really slow. And instead of Levels, maybe you could start out as a peasant and work your way up to a knight, or even a King, and the cantina could just be an in-game pub where you can waste your time away (ignore my sig), and buy stuff to improve your HP or something like that. Maybe you could contact Travelers Tales and suggest this. It sounds like a really fun game.

The thing is, that TLC has to think about the little ones. So you won't get a high-level Castle Game out of it.
Lego Creator Knight's Kingdom was a Lego game that really amused me, making peasant huts and building armies, I want to have an updated version of that game.

What about the KK1 characters? Weezil, Gilbert, Storm, Richard, etc?

A great LEGO Castle video game would be modelled after the WarCraft system or the Age of Empires style of play. But with everything LEGO.

Actually, this sounds awesome in the LSW format.

What? They have the Star Wars ones, don't they? What would be the problem of Castle?
Great idea, I hope it comes into effect.

The problem of Castle is that it's designed for kids - so you won't get a sophisticated, high tech strategy game like Age Of Empires or Battle For Middle Earth or any other RTS.

Well yeah, I thought that was why it was sort of being envisioned as similar to LSW. :?
But a more complex Lego game might be nice... Though I personally am dreaming of a Lego interpretation of God of War. 8)

Wouldn't it be cool if the Lego MMOG* they're working on was a castle game?

(*Massively Multiplayer Online Game, like Final Fantasy XI & World of Warcraft)

that would be really cool if the new Lego Universe game was Castle, but judging by the KK2 and even newer castle sets, I wouldn't want to test my luck with them...

That sounds awesome, you should contact LEGO with the idea!

I would hope that not only it would be a castle theme but one could choose your faction from all of the previous factions, not just be limited to the recent ones.

They might just use the "Crown" knights to make the programming easier and hopefully try to sell more of the actual brick sets. One can only hope they don't make it too kiddy.
