My First Castle (shown on this site)

Post by gh0st0f0nyx »

I've made one before this (which wasn't very good) so I decided to post pics of the recent one I've made. I've already knocked it down (no room in my bedroom) and i've also included pics of the ruins. Please post your opinions. Thnx. :D

Hi, and welcome to Classic-Castle (since this is your first post).

Brickshelf is moderated, which means that someone looks at each folder of pictures before they're visible to everyone, or "become public." Until then, the rest of us can't see your pictures. To get around this, click on a picture until you can't click it anymore (until the name of the file you uploaded appears in your browser's address bar), and then paste that as a link in your post here on C-C. This is called "deep linking."

Can't wait to see your castle!

That is huge! Those walls are really tall. My only complaint is with the coloring. It looks too random. The red walls remind me of "Redwall Abby" in some books I've read in the past.

Overall, you did a great job for your first attempt. I would suggest building something smaller next time, and making your color scheme less random, although you did make the walls all red. Better then some of my first tries

Great job on your first! Can't wait to see your future creations.

Oh BTW. Welcome to CCC

Thnx guys! oh and Lord Felix, That's actually why I made it red. I read some of the Redwall books, so when I was going to make a large castle, I decided to use red! The front of the castle is kind of random colored in some places since I ran out of bricks.
Thanks again guys(sorry the pics were a little blurry)!

You have either an okey finished castle, or a the beginnings of a great castle. Your walls seem very well done, and you have a pretty good gate. I would advise putting more stuff inside, and making this one even better. Also, since it's your first castle, you should feel very good of what you have accomplished. My first castle was horrible compared to your's. BTW, Welcome to CC! Drop by the Chat sometime.

Thanks everybody!
I've had this for a long time, but I never had the chance to show it to anyone! I agree that I should have put more inside, since all i had was a dining picnic place, a bar, a hospital, and a shop. I would have put more but I ran out of pieces. Sadly, I've already knocked this down and I'm starting to build somethinging taller but less bigger in size (because that castle made my room REALLY dusty!)!
I'm glad you all like it and thanks for all the welcomes!

Crazy.. i was crazy once.. once they put me in a round room with a dot in the corner i liked that dot i counted that dot... one.. one..one..one ..it drove me crazy!! Crazy?!? I was crazy once!!

First, Welcome to CC

I concer with the others. THe redwall is good but how could you build a red wall in those days. Also the colors are a bit random. THere are not enough interior details, and courtyard stuff. Over all a great start for your first castle moc. Hope you will improve like the thousands others that have.

I like the high walls, I don't mind the random colors. It's very creative and you gotta build with what you have. My favorite picture is the one where its wrecked and the people are all on stretchers.

Keep on building.

That is rather LARGE for a first Castle attempt.

I thought there was some kind of story going on to explain the castle's collapse, other than you just knocking it down.

There was a story.
They fought against a blue dragon (in this case the blue Bahrag thing from bionicle). It wasn't really meant for a dragon, but it's good for knocking stuff down since it has that head that lunges foward.
Also, if you see the other thing in my brickshelf that looks like a castle, that's not my first try. that's something I let my cousins build when they came over, but I still helped building some of it. So you could still refer to this red castle as my first, or if you want to get technical then that castle in the rest of my brickshelf would be my first. But this red castle is the first thing that I posted here.

I took a peak at your other stuff too. It looks good. But your non color coted castle could use some work. You village would look ausome if it was all in-one. But over all you could use work on everything, as with everybody else here. Nobody is perfect.

Oh I tore both of the castles down already (some time ago). It's just that I never got to post it on a site to see what people think of it. I'm actually done with my latest castle thing (using the red pieces). I just need to upload the pics and then post em on a new topic
